If there is enough interest I will start a poll to determine the greatest thread in the (documented) history of the fofc. I have four nominees:
Maximum Football??? (http://operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=45810&highlight=Maximum+Football)
Awkward (http://operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=32683&highlight=Awkward)
Ping: Blackjack Players (http://operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=51843&highlight=Blackjack) (homer pick)
is it ever acceptable to... (http://operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=6474) (dark horse pick)
Feel free to nominate other threads. Please include the link if you do so.

Although I am partial to Awkward, Awkward 2008 and cartman's Krispy Kreme thread, nothing is ever gonna beat Maximum Football. That thread evolved over a few years and that is still probably the only thread where you see a majority of the text sim developers write at least one post. The Photoshop images in that thread alone blows away any other thread. And it still has the record number of views and posts.

On Page 5, I offer one of my usually volumnous posts on the matter, as someone who was constantly running across issues with the person in question. I thought it funny that even then there were people questioning the length of my posts, and others saying, "What, you don't know CR?" lol
BTW, one of the greatest end of threads ever. Just read the last two posts. ;)

What about that where jbmagic asked why we hated him?
Very good index of famous humorous threads. I would say for total humor, nothing can beat Maximum Football. For humor per post, nothing can beat the blackjack thread. Those would be my top two choices, no disrespect to the other excellent nominees.

Did anyone already mention the Hornsmaniac's tips for getting the girls eventually evolving to his cheating in the RWBL and eventual embarassing departure from FOFC only to make up stories about someone calling Dell to get him fired and making him live in a shoebox (or whatever the case was)... or maybe that was multiple threads.. You know, in retrospect that HM thread isn't really the best overall HM thread. But I'm not sure some of the best exist anymore or I can't find them.
This was however the greatest poll in FOFC history:

i don't know if they are on here but . . .
for dynasty, i am partial to ben's bear bryant. i enjoyed the writing and storyline, the length was epic and, well, there's something to be said about a dynasty being ran and posted across 4 separate incarnations of message boards. some of QS' early dynasties could have competed but he switched to different challenges more often.
for FOF, there was an old thread by QS called "grassy knoll" in one of the previous incarnations of the board. we were still in the process of trying to figure out how various elements of the game works and had some really good discussions in there. by "we", i mean i ooh'ed and ahh'ed while the likes of QS, ez and various other brains brought up points. yay.

I dunno what the thread was titled, but the one where you were watching the sleeping girl was excellent.as DTR said, this one was awesome. although i have to admit that i have not pick it back up after you re-started it.
