My question, is something this blatantly wrong an error, or a clever trick to make you click the link?

I don't ever see ads and I don't see anything in your post, either. I recommend Firefox with Ad Block installed.

Here come the people saying Firefox sucks and it doesn't work. Still unsure why people don't use FF and AB.

But people always say stuff about FF.

Only time I do it is when someone says "I have no clue why people refuse to use Firefox". I then explain why I don't. But I certainly don't jump in when folks say "use FF & AB", because that's an excellent combo for many.

The "FF RULEZ, YOU"RE A MORON IF YOU DON'T USE IT AND ADBLOCKER" FAR outweigh those that diss FF.

At least on this board.

I can't use the netflix video viewer with Firefox. Everything else I think I use FF for.. but it is tough to say that EVERY site will work with firefox when some people specifically code a site to only work with IE :)

Like my last jobs intranet site. It was damn annoying to not be able to use FF with it.

I use FF and I still find a couple of sites for which I have to use IE. One is my employer's intranet. The other ones tend to be online billing or commerce pages that never load right. I still like FF and use it for all of my normal surfing. I just know it doesn't work for everything.

Well yeah but that is just a jackass that would do that... Just like people that code sites not to work with IE.

It's just funny to hear people complain about advertisements and don't want to use FF to get rid of them.

Yeah I have to use IE for Kronos (time card) that's the only thing at work that HAS to have it. Programmers need to get their act together.

Hey dumbass, the huge site redesign I did this year for work currently has CSS tabs that don't render properly in FF3. It screws up the whole site design.

(Wait, that probably reflects more on me than you. Fuck.)

For those people who want to use Firefox, but need to use IE for work or what have you, you can get a Firefox addon called IE Tab that lets you open a page in a tab in Firefox using the IE rendering engine.

MJ4H

I actually like opera better too, but there are way too many pages I visit regularly that dont work right in opera. Firefox actually has a lot that look like crap, too.

I know girls gobble things up with chocolate, but I doubt you could cover it in fudge and then later tell her she ate it.

whats so special about FF? my browser (IE) has tabs. it's from Verizon Fios. if your entire arguement that FF is awesome just cuz of tabbed browsing then i don't get it cuz i get tabbed browsing and use IE at the same time. i also have popup blockers that work great. why do you guys see if you don't see ads at the top of FOFC? is it just blank? i'd don't have a problem w/ some ads. i don't click on anything but some that utilize embedded video (like ads for movies) are worth a couple seconds of glancing.

One most sites, the rest of the page is compressed so you don't even realize that an ad was supposed to be there. On FOFC, I find that occasionally the space with the ad is still there.

And it's not just the tabbed browsing that makes FF awesome.
