Using this as a place to kind of keep track of my first draft. I obviously took over the Buffalo "Bills." I went 2-14 and got the first pick. Highest rated guy is a ILB with a 7.4, but I have at least a decent young one already. #2 is a 7.3 rated C, which again, isn't that big of a need. I'm currently sitting on a trade for my best corner 55/55 for a SS 37/37 who is a mentor and a 4th round pick. The SS is replacing the even worse SS I had that I won't resign due to how bad he sucked.
Without using any of the tools, Here's what I got on the guys I called first. My scout is good with secondary.
#1
Gabe Hagood, CB
Rated: 6.9
Adj: 7.1
Height: 5-11
Weight: 199
Dash: 4.39 (3rd Fastest overall)
Sole: 29
Strg: 16 (tied for first in CBs)
Agil: 6.77
BJmp: 10-0
PSpec: 53
Devl%: 38
Volatility: 80
Impression: Hard to Read
#2
George Orlando, CB
Rated: 6.7
Adj: 6.9
Height: 6-0
Weight: 196
Dash: 4.35 (2nd Fastest overall)
Sole: 37
Strg: 16 (tied for first in CBs)
Agil: 6.93
BJmp: 8-08
PSpec: 57
Devl%: 52
Volatility: 16
Impression: Very Underrated.
Side note, Gabe Hagood has the vastly easier agent and much better bars. The only thing that makes this a non-slam dunk is the hard to read. It's basically Hagood at one, or see about trading down, but then there is the question of how far. I'm not against taking George Orlando, but drafting him lower will be tricky. There is a possible CB at 2.1, so I have some flexibility here.
For those wondering, the highest rated QB is at 5.4. Yeah, not getting that franchise QB this year.
orlando is more developed, lower volatility and imo has a better combine. take him.

Yes i would agree to go with Orlando based on the info given.

How does Orlando have the better combine? I even dumped the draft list into the draft analyzer and Hagood gets a 21.77 combine as where Orlando sits at 17.91. Hagood also has a bar for punt return near the top as where Orlando has got nothing. I'm only really seeing the PSpec score as a hint that Orlando had a better combine.
I did figure out sorting by adjusted score is much better to use. Orland is 5th ranked using adjusted, so he should be easy to pick up with a lower pick.

For my money (#1 pick) i want a sure thing more than a maybe. The high volatility on Hagood would scare me away. I have not had great luck with the hard to read guys so that would push me further away, finally if your scout is good with DBs then i like the underrated Orlando. With that said i also might try to move down a couple of spots to see what i could get.

Rereading the combine numbers, Orlando has more red numbers although there is the one green. I agree on the 1.1 pick thing. What do I want in the first pick? Not having to worry. Good to know about hard to read guys. I went and downloaded the draft pick calculator and even just going from 1.1 to 1.3 gives me 2.3 and 3.3 with being 5 points over. If I push the 2.3 to the next draft I should be ok. Going to 1.4 was simply giving me too many picks back to know what to do with them.
I went and did a run through of the draft with my phone calls. I did a swipe all the way down to about half the list and then went back twice more. At one point during the initial run I got something like 4-5 in a row for very underrated. That was only broken up by a underrated. It was fun to click on some guys who were from rival colleges for me and have them 100% of the time be overrated/very overrated. Almost felt bad for my scout since I was nailing so many of them myself.
If I can get the guys I want 1-3, I'll be on cruise control during day two. My only concern is a possible 2.1 underrated, but low strength DT. There really wasn't much to pick from in that area, hence why I pushed the 2.3 in the 1.1's trade to next year. The fun pick will be a 3rd round very underrated cannon armed QB with low acc trying to play in Buffalo.
No clue who the Def. rookie will be, but here's the offensive one.
Jeffery Donaldson LT
Height: 6-6
Weight: 342
Grade: 6.5/7.2
Dash: 5.18 (Blue)
Sole: 42 (Red)
Strg: 42 (Red)
Agil: 7.35 (Red)
B-Jmp: 8-05 (Blue)
Devl: 19%
Volatility: 56
Impression: Very Underrated
Scout is good with OL.
Pass Blocking and Blocking strength look to be at/near max. Endurance is close. Run blocking is "only" just over the 75% mark. That's just a breath taking scary amount of potential right there.

Very nice left tackle prospect. You should check out this thread.

Thanks, will begin to weed through it. Too bad it only handles so few of the positions so far.
For those curious, Orlando 41/62(post summer camp). The potential was at 41 after the draft. After seeing other picks with 70s-80s(the LT was 83 IIRC), I was about in a fetal position going, "Please go up. A lot." I had him start, but at the end of the season he wasn't starting I think due to a vet 40/40 taking his spot. So getting that fixed. Hagood, now underrated, is back in the draft due to being unsigned. My 3.1 QB pick helped us go +8 wins better for a 10-6 record and we just missed the playoffs. His ratings to start the season? 7/50.
