Windows Media Player Question

Ok, trying to show a video via Windows Media Player at work via a projector (and Mediacast) but would still like the functionality of my laptop to work on other things while the video is playing.

I know something like this is possible with Intervideo WinDVD but couldn't seem to find anything about Windows Media Player.
