Really? Saw 5 now? And I read that they're making a Saw 6 too? Ugh.

These movies are all the same. They're just not good and they lack that blatant cheeseyness that made all Friday of the 13th's following the first one tolerable.

It's sad too because some really solid slasher flicks have come out recently, like Hatchet and Behind the Mask, and the new one from Clive Barker, "Midnight Meat Train" was outstanding.

Instead though, crap like these Saw movies keep churning out. Ugh.

I stopped watching at 2, the first had a dose of novelty and was quite interesting. The second one should have been the last in my opinion, but I suppose it makes business sense to milk the cow until it dries up...but what if the milk tastes like crap now?

I really liked "Behind the Mask" too.

I don't get the problem here... there are a bunch of good movies coming out that aren't Saw, plus a bunch of Saw movies... how is that bad for people that don't like Saw movies? They can still go see the non-Saw movies like Hatchet or whatever.

Now wait a second. I defy you to name me a better civil rights picture then Leprechaun in the Hood, or Leprechaun Back to tha Hood. Those weren't as much movies as they were a social rights movement.

They were like a movement, all right.

The plan for the Saw series was to do six, pretty much from the beginning after the first one got so big.

Unfortunately for them, only the first one was worth watching.

~ $250 million worth of customer tickets would suggest otherwise.

He: You see Saw?
She: I saw Saw. You see Saw 2, too?
He: I saw Saw 2, too.
She: So?
He: So-so.

I like how the MPAA Reason in that chart that Drake posted progressively gets worse by adding more adjectives and verbs.

Saw 6: insane sequences of horrific and grisly bloody and shocking violence and extreme torture, foul language and gratuitous brief nudity.

Saw 7 is going to need a new rating, like R+

Exactly why I stick to silent movies...all that language:banghead:

Sadly, this will be remembered as the big horror franchise of their time to people who are teenagers now.

Whatever happened to the gratuitous nudity in horror movies? Bring that back!

I have never watched one of the Saw movies. I call it my little way of sticking it to the man.
