i have a very good middle linebacker currently on my team, and i play in a 4-3 defence. However, the game keeps insisting that my main team need is a middle linebacker.
could this be because the game is suggesting i need another MLB to change into a 3-4 defence? Or is stating my player is secretly crap!?

Maybe my team is more fitted to 34 defence and i just havent realised it.
Does anyone have a good guideline with regards to a players height/weight etc to show whether a player is more suited to the 34 or the 43 defence?

cheers!!!:confused::D

My advice is to trust your own instincts, don't worry about this kind of nonsense analysis (above), and don't fret about height and weight. Get guys with the skills you want, and play them in whatever system you prefer.

just started a new career with the new patch, playing with the Pats. Now, we're only in 2010, but we play a mighty 3-4 with Vince Wilfork (79/79) at nose tackle. He's racked in 9.5 and 10.5 sacks in each of the last two seasons, seasons in which the game has said our biggest need was for a starting defensive tackle. Sure, our second DT is a project type of kids at 26/55 but come on, I need one starting DT and I have one who's doing a great job.

All that to say I'm not so sure the game is taking into account your defensive setup when defining your biggest need...
