As a test in one of my MP leagues, I set all the 'Use of Dime Personnel' to 0 on the Defensive Personnel Choices screen.

Here is one example:
Philadelphia: I formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 with dime personnel and 2-deep bump-and-run coverage, expecting the pass.
2-9-PHI27 (1Q: 01:48) Tom Brady pass completed to WR Chad Johnson for 14 yards. Tackled by ILB Chad Greenway. Johnson gained 2 yards after the catch. The quarterback threw into double coverage.

19 times in 86 defensive plays I was in dime coverage.

86 defensive plays??? That's a ton. Was your opponent using a crazy pass-happy game plan? I know that FOF adjusts things significantly when the opposition is doing something unusual. I wonder if that happened. (Running a quick test in SP now...)

Well, it was a pass happy gp, augmented by the fact that I had scored on a fumble, a 1 play 87 yard TD pass, and recovered a fumble on their 17 yard line and scored on the next play.

So you were up 21-0 in the first quarter? I'm guessing that triggered it. A few data points...

1. I just ran three games with 0 dime coverage. 2 of the 3 were close, and dime was never used until very late in the game when the other team would be in obvious hurry-up.
2. FOF will *always* use either nickel or dime against a 4WR or 5WR set. The games I just ran were against Rex, so it wasn't seeing those a ton. But if the other team had a pass-happy gameplan, I'll bet you say a bunch of 4WR/5WR. I don't know this for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if in using those so much, it threw in some dime coverages.

3. Who knows what can happen when you're way ahead/behind, and particularly if the hurry-up kicked in early.

So, I'm guessing this isn't so much a bug as how the game (generally correctly) reacts to certain unusual situations.

True, I was up 21-3 early in the 2nd (28-9 by halftime).

Yeah, I know about the 4WR and 5WR sets. I wasn't counting those.

Problem with that is this:

Philadelphia: Strong formation with three wideouts, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 with dime personnel and 2-deep bump-and-run coverage, expecting the pass. Greenway is blitzing.
2-10-ATL21 (1Q: 09:41) Tom Brady pass fell incomplete, intended for WR Matt Jones. S Ed Reed simply crushed the receiver as the ball arrived. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage. Atlanta's Tommy Kelly was hurt on the play. This appears to be a minor shoulder injury. He should be able to remain in the game.

At that point, the score was 0-0.

Going to post the game log shortly.

Interesting.Of course, there's always the chance that your export wasn't used for some reason. First, I'd have the commish check to see if my game plan really has all zeroes for dime right now.

If your plan did get in as prescribed, I have a theory that I'd like to test out, but it'll be this weekend. I can think of a potential non-bug reason for this. It's something I've been fairly curious about for quite some time anyway, so this gives me the impetus to actually test it. ;) Let me know if your commish double-checks it...

**UPDATE**
There was a bug, but it was with the end user. :banghead:

The program is working fine, evidently the user put in 10/20 for dime instead of 0/0 like he was thinking. :(
