View Full Version : Ocho Cinco's planned endzone dance...

So, I heard this on KNBR The Sports Leader this morning on the way to work. Apparently Chad Johnson had a giant Barack Obama banner planted in each endzone during last weeks game against the Texans. He was going to pull them out and wave them around if he had scored a touchdown, but he never scored so nothing happened. The Bengals play the Jags this week in Cincy, so I'm willing to bet he'll try again...or at least have something equally over the top planned.

Up his ass apparently, same as it's been for years. He is who we thought he was.

I used to respect his work ethic, but now I just think he is an asshat.

IMO when your team is as bad as his and getting killed every game any sort of endzone celebration makes you look like a clown. And it shows how selfish he is, which we already knew.

What ever happened with that whole "I want to swim against Michael Phelps" thing?

I have two problems with his Obama banner idea:
1. It'd probably get his team penalized 15 yards.
2. It'd be bringing political bullshit into a football play (the touchdown).
If he wants to show support for a political candidate, fine. He could do that in an interview or a press conference or even scream "I LOVE OBAMA" on the sidelines. Whatever. I just don't think that stuff belongs on the field.
Of course, if my anti-politics view doesn't work for you, then just go with my #1 point. It would penalize his team. :)

Given the offense this year I'd be okay with him sacrificing a chicken for Satan if it meant the Bengals scored.
I used to respect his work ethic, but now I just think he is an asshat.
Plus one.

I saw on PTI that Houshmansadah guaranteed 2 wins or he would walk 27 miles to the NFL headquarters. Gotta love that your team is that bad that you are making going 2-14 something that is up in the air and you are taking a stand on. (And basically saying even you think your team can't go 3-5 in it's last 8 games)
Sadly though I argue the franchise needs this and Chad Johnson's nonsense. They will never be good. They were only blips on the radar even during their Lewis good years and the Jeff Blake-Carl Pickens era. The Super Bowls were almost 20 years ago. Tampa, St. Louis, and Baltimore have won it since this happened. Chad Johnson is the reason they ever get any coverage at all. At least he takes some attention away from the criminal stories and makes the Bengals talked about sometimes. When is the last time anyone talked much at all about Detriot, Arizona (maybe until this year), or Kansas City?
Sadly I am also a Bengal fan. My true value I have gotten from NFL Sunday Ticket this season is about -$200. I buy it only for Cincinnati and really only watch the other games for gambling and fantasy.

Barack Obama does not approve this message.
But Mike Brown does and that is all that counts.
