Does anybody know if there is an all in one install for logos, jerseys, etc?

Not that I've found.
You can refer to here to find the links for the mods, though.

Thx
There isn't any, but all the mods Izulde linked to are easy to install, just unzip then in the proper folder. I have also started to play it again to get ideas etc for the new version interface.

Icy made me cry over in the DDS:PB forums. :(
BTW, we really need to have a league or something.

Since Football Manager seems to be too difficult for me to figure out how to purchase, I figured I would try a different game that I've bought before but never enjoyed instead.
I bought DDS:PB but only played it like once or twice before I never picked it back up again. I'm going to give it another try but need some help. Which of the various logo packs do I need to simply turn the default teams in the game to real team names with the least amount of fuss? I just don't want to do all of it manually.
I didn't see any current roster sets made by anyone either, is there one out there that anyone made? It doesn't seem like a very big mod community from what I can see.. the majority of the good stuff was made by two or three people.

Looks like I found the various mods I needed.. ashame no one ever made an all-in-one mod, but I guess no one is paid for doing mods for a game. Just helps with the immersion a ton I find.
Ok here it goes, going to give myself over thanksgiving to try to force myself to like this game. Otherwise maybe I'll look at Football manager again.

I think the most current roster set is found here:

As for everything else, I use Icy's Player Photos, Rocko's Jerseys and ixnay's Logos.
For real team names, just enter in the actual team names in the League setup.

FYI I don't recommend using that roster as is, since there is a critical error with it(detailed in the thread on the WS forums).
Alan, i'll PM you later the roster set i recently did for myself.
It's a mix of past and current season. I have updated all the trades and some of the FA signings/releases up to today (contracts are not updated), but the rookies have not been added as i start the game in the 2007 season.
Then i also include the last rookie class as a file that you import for the following draft with Rose, Mayo etc. That rookie draft is based on one published by a guy in the WS forums that i have tweaked myself as the rookies were too high rated and dominated the league in their first season. I lowered their ratings to a more standard rookie class.
So let's say you start the game in 2007 with current rosters minus rookies, then at the end of the season you have the draft with the real rookies and start the 2008 season with them.
I know it's not exactly a current roster set, but at least you got Gasol in Lakers, Oneal in in the Raptors, etc, all the big trades and signups done. I just did it past week for myself to play DDSPB again to get more ideas for the interface and didn't want to expend time on it adding all the rookies by hand and to update contracts/ratings, specially when the new DDSPB2 is not so far from now and it should include real rosters like past version.
I also created for my own use the OKC Thunder logo, banner, court and jerseys, can send them to you if you want. For obvious reasons i can't make it public.

So.. are there any ways to get an Overall talent type rating for players some way to try to judge one PG vs another PG? Or are you dependent on the type of player you want to get (ie: good ball handler or shooter or whatever)?

There is no overall rating in the roster view or FA view etc. The only overall rating is the Bballs in the player card. It was done on purpose as individual ratings matter a lot and you should look at the ratings that match your team playing style instead to an overall rating.
For example, let's say i'm looking in FA for a PG. I like PG's with great passing as primary stat, so i sort them by the passing column. Then from the top ones by that sorting order, i look at secondary ratings like ball handling, defense, Bball IQ, stealing. Once i find a PG with good numbers in those ratings, i open his player card and look at his tendencies and mental ratings. For example, if he is going to be a backup, i won't sign a guy that wants a lot of playing time, etc.
Of course that is my way of choosing a PG (probably too influenced by Euro Basketball where the PG is like the football QB). Maybe you would prefer to sort them by scoring or 3pt for a more NBA style scoring PG.
As your idea of a good PG could different from mine, an overall rating is not very useful and in fact could be misleading. Gary thinks the same way, so that is why he decided to not to make the overlal rating too visible or important, and you only have the bballs for current/potential overall in the player card, that to tell you the true, do not matter a lot for me.

That makes sense. I was mainly looking for an overall talent rating of some sort to help guide me a bit. With baseball games, I know what skillsets are important at what positions, what strategy is important when, etc. With basketball, my only experience is college inter mural league. :) I figured I would start the game more globally as far as what I was doing with the team, and rely on my coach moreso.. but then if I liked the game and could get into it, get more granual and take on more and more as I go.
