Well, tomorrow I start my new job at Wayne State. I've changed my city location to Detroit officially. Catch you all later, after I've had time to settle.

Where in Detroit are you going to be staying?

On campus. I run residence halls, so that usually requires you to live on campus. My building, Atchison Hall, has a game store at the bottom, so I can literally walk about one minute from my apartment, or office, to buy an XBOX360 game or somesuch.

Was this a consideration in taking the position or just a side benefit? :D

Sounds awesome.

This is your first must - Go to Lafayette Coney Island and have the best coney. EVER.

Congrats. Both our scenic designer and costumer are Wayne State grads and I've worked with a few actors that have gone through the program. From everything I've heard and seen the Hillberry Rep. Theatre does good work.

No, being unemployed was a consideration in taking the position.

Are you an area coordinator or Residence Director?

Are you an area coordinator or Residence Director?

The terms and responsibilities vary wildly in the field. I've seen AC positions that are in charge of multiple residence halls with intividual hall directors reporting to them, thus supervising pro staff, and others that have one hall with 200 -250 students and are entry level positions. The title for my job is Community Director, and I will be co-supervising the mainiantence and custodial staff, the professional office manager, and then the student staff - RAs.

Congratulations, that's quite a responsibility. I worked in Res Life for three years as an undergrad and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Congrats! But is there a Wayne State in Kansas as well? Cause I could swear that's where my high school chemistry teacher graduated from...
