Well before Thanksgiving, I usually start making my Christmas list. And since I've decided that I wanted to get into the holiday spirit earlier, I decided to start this topic to help keep us excited and reminded of Christmas.

My list isn't long at all. Basically, it's...

-iPod Stereo System (I'm probably going to ask for the iHome IH9 which is around $80, and if anyone has that, would you care to tell me what you think of it?)
-NFL Head Coach 09
-Subscription to NFL Draft Scout

I was thinking of adding a fitted hat or something, but I'm already happy with the things I have now except a lot of times I wish I had a stereo system in my room (I only have headphones for my PC), and I'm having problems with my Blackberry alarm clock. And now that my digital clock broke in my room, I figured it'd be killing multiple birds at once if I just asked for an iPhone Stereo System Alarm Clock. :p

And I figured I needed something to entertain me for the two weeks that I would have off, and since NFL Head Coach 09 had some good reviews on a site, I figured hey... can't hurt to ask for a relatively 'cheap' ($35) game.

We still make Christmas lists in our family. It makes shopping a -lot- easier and then nobody's disappointed in what they get.

Only ever if friends or family ask me for one. I stopped making lists and giving them to my parents when I was 15.

All I want for Christmas is to make baby Jesus smile.

I ask for gift cards to restaurants I usually can't afford to eat at, like Arby's.

Yeah my family is big into wishlists - for some reason I give them stuff I really want, and they usually follow it, but when I buy gifts for them I don't usually follow their lists - I usually end up getting them something nicer that they wouldn't ask for - like handmade items or art.

My mother demands I provide her with a list for myself and my family. She then sends it to my brothers and father. It does make things a lot easier. I don't always buy from others lists though.. depends on what I find that I think they'll like.

This year the two main things I want are an under-cabinet radio/cd player and a jewelry to replace the one my kids broke (and I so loved that jewelry box :( ).

I make lists so people have a general idea what I want. If I don't get anything from the list, that's fine too.

My mother in law is insane about Christmas. She starts stalking us around October for our lists. My first full Christmas with them as a part of the family I was actualy embaressed by how much stuff she got me ( including a laptop). My father in law told me that year she spent 6K on me, my wife and my sister in law. After that we put a $600 cap on how much she can get us.

My wife has always preferred that I make a list, so yes I do.

my MIL also numbers each gift and you have to open them in order.
