You know, as a kid everybody took music class when we were in elementary school; however, not everyone played sports. I was thinking I could've been a musician and been in a rock band and made it big, playing to sold out arenas, etc. I wasn't a good enough of an athlete to make it in college, much less the pros but I would've like to experience playing a sport in a sold out stadium and hear the roar of the crowd on the field.
If you had to pick playing in front of a sold out stadium either as a member of a band or a member of a sports team, which would it be?
Poll coming.

I'd take being in a rock band because it could last a lot longer.

Sports team for me since you have to earn your way there. Too much luck in the music business and popularity != talent.

Is this as a career or just a one time thing?

I was envisioning it as a one time thing, but take it however you want. :)
If it's a one time thing, I think I'd pick sports. If it's a career, I'd pick music purely for physical reasons. I wouldn't want to be injured for the rest of my life playing a sport. While it could be argued that you could also be injured being a rock star, I think the chances are much lower.

For a career, sports.
For one night only, rock star.

You don't get suspended for doing drugs in a rock band.
(Or in the NFL.)
