John,
After seeing your post about "picking a weak spokesperson" for the anti-war movement, would you like to debate an Iraqi-American about this war?
I'll set everything up if you'll agree to it.

Hmmmm . . . I'm not sure what you mean by "debate" and I'm not sure what forum you are talking about. PM me and we can talk.

Or atleast let us know if you finalize anything, Cam.

If it gets finalized, I'll let you know.
Basically, I offered a half hour on my program for him to speak with an Iraqi American about why he doesn't want war and how regime change can be effected by other means.
Someone made the observation that it's kind of a moot point now, and I have to take that into consideration. It has to be good radio, and if it's a half hour discussion on a moot point, it might not be worth having. So we'll see.

You know Cam, I don't agree with your politics, but this is a really good idea.

Swaggs,
It wouldn't be much of a debate if he wasn't.

I don't reread the thread every time I post. I should have known it would have had something to do with wrestling.

Dola: Due to circumstances beyond people's control, the debate will not happen, but I appreciate JohnGalt considering and investigating the possibility.

If you mean that I was told by my employer not to do the debate and decided I wasn't going to piss a partner off, then yes, I pussed out.

Or . . . as Cam, who was cool enough to investigate the possibilties, said "due to circumstances beyond people's control" makes this not a possibility at the moment. But, hey, why let logic and sense mess up a perfectly good chance to make an asinine comment.

When real-life circumstances get in the way of liberal symbolism and viewpoints...
It's pretty clear that some people only critisize, with no solutions...I still never saw a solution to the problem from your end...

I've stated many times, I'm not a "liberal," but yes, I am loyal to my employer and my clients. I protest the war through means that don't compromise that. I suppose you would piss your boss off and hurt clients to participate in a pro-war radio debate. I do not have that luxury and have expenses I need to attend to.
And people you criticize, but offer no solutions - I wonder if you are the pot or the kettle in that. Whether you agree with me or not, if you have read any of the war threads, I have offered more discussion of solutions and alternatives than anyone else - so read before you comment.

As far as your employer...well, like most liberals, true colors show when you're dealing with YOUR money and not other peoples'
Re: Solutions:
Wrong. You've still offered no solution other than suggesting sanctions be lifted.

Wow - you don't actually take what I say into account when reply.
I say: "I'm not a liberal."
You reply with: "like most liberals"
You say: you offer no solutions
I say: I do (and tell you where to look)
You say: you don't offer any solutions (except the one you offer)
