Ok, probably not, but am just excited for the playoffs :) I'd probably pick Indy right now, they have looked the best I thought coming into the playoffs. Almost all of the NFC teams looked like they just didn't even want to make the playoffs lately.

But that's an impressive field of playoff contenders. Best I can remember in recent years. I think you can make a case for just about any one of them. Except the Cardinals. :D

I voted Colts, partly because they're my 2nd favorite team, and partly because they have looked really good lately. I'd say all but probably the Dolphins, Vikings, Falcons and Cardinals have a reasonable shot to win it all.

I wouldn't mind seeing Donovan win one to shut up his critics even though I'm not a big eagles fan in general.

I don't see how anybody can't choose the Giants to win the NFC at this point. Carolina is right there with them and while the Eagles are solid all-around, I can't see them beating one of those two teams on the road.

AFC in my opinion is much more open as any of those teams can get hot.

In any case, I like EVERY wildcard to win their first games.

Scariest teams in the AFC right now are a Colts team showing the prowess that won them a title and a Chargers team that suddenly learned how to play defense again.

The Eagles are a streaky team, if they get on a roll like they did yesterday then they can handle any of the teams in the NFC. The Giants are the obvious favorites but they haven't shown the heart down the stretch that they showed last year, I think they get bounced. My Bengals history says let the Cardinals win a Super bowl, or at least get to one for a change. I've got a soft spot for the downtrodden and pathetic in the league.

So just for shits n giggles I'm going to pick:

San Diego over Arizona in the Super Bowl with the worst winning percentage between the two teams...Ever.....

In a shocker, San Diego over Indianapolis. Indy may have won a bunch of games in a row, but they've generally had a cupcake schedule. Their defense is giving up plenty of points. In a high-scoring game in southern CA, Indy can't cover Jackson or Gates, and can't slow down a resurgent L.T.

AFC WILD CARD 2:

Baltimore over Miami with relative ease, even in Florida. Kudos to the Dolphins for racking up the wins, but Baltimore has been much more convincing in their wins while Miami's inability to put the hammer down on terrible teams (as Baltimore has done) shows some vulnerability.

AFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 1:

In another shocker, Baltimore edges out Tennessee. The Pittsburgh game aside, Tennessee have started to fade as the year's gone on (seriously, how do they lose to the Texans?), while Baltimore have continued to improve. When they met in Week 5, Tennessee edged out Baltimore by 3 points. Baltimore stacks the line and dares Kerry Collins to beat them, and Ed Reed has a field day as a result.

AFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 2:

Big Ben returns to lead the Steelers over San Diego. The Pittsburgh defense keeps San Diego in check in likely cold/poor weather their offense victimizes San Diego's defense.

AFC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Week 15 again as Pittsburgh clamps down on Baltimore defensively, while the offense just manages to get enough field position to win by a field goal or two.


NFC WILD CARD 1:

Atlanta dominate free-falling Arizona in a game that's over by halftime.

NFC WILD CARD 2:

A demonstrably superior Philadelphia team easily overpowers Minnesota, especially on defense, with multiple sacks on Jackson. Peterson does get a bunch of yards, though, before the game is out of reach.

NFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 1:

More Week 12 instead of Week 4, as an in-sync Atlanta executes much better against a Carolina that gets behind early and manages to implode by the 4th quarter.

NFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 2:

New York haven't looked really good since Week 11, while Philadelphia have been gathering momentum. Jacobs gets re-hurt early and Eli spends most of the day on his back while McNabb is just elusive enough to keep the Giants from killing the passing game as Philadelphia wins over New York.

NFC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS:

This year's Cinderella story hosts the NFC Conference Championships. Philadelphia over Atlanta as the key is that the Falcons don't really have an answer for the Eagles' pass rush and McNabb & Westbrook put up enough points to make Turner a non-factor.

SUPER BOWL:

Experience (Pittsburgh) beats motivation (Philadelphia).

Playing the best right now, Peyton looks as good as ever lately, and they're getting healthy.

Their offense has too much fire power for the Steelers or Titans, and some of these drives they've put together lately are insane. They can put together an 8 minute drive every game, and for teams that struggle through the air on offense, they'll be had pressed to come back from early defecits.

I think we get the Manning Bowl this year to be honest.

I went with Giants again. They now have playoff experience from last year and know how to get it done. We've seen plenty of teams transition successfully from Super Bowl underdog to favorite and the Giants seem to have what it takes to do so - young QB, good running game, good coach, good defense, battle-tested in regular season.

Make perfect sense as a repeat champion, and of the 12 in the mix, they seem like they have a better chance than the others.

Don't mean to pick on you, but I've seen this (bashing of Indy's 9 game win streak and lauding of SD's 4 gamer) several places and do not understand it at all.

SD has beaten Oakland, KC, Tampa and Denver. The best team among them is Tampa, but they were a terrible, terrible team during their 4 game collapse to end the season. There is absolutely nothing there to be impressed by in that 4 game strectch.

Sure, there were plenty of bad teams in Indy's run, but they also beat the AFC's top 2 seeds, an 11-5 NE team, and the Chargers at the Chargers. Heck, beating Houston is a better win than any the Chargers had. I just don't understand favoring the Chargers over the Colts based on how well the Chargers finished the season.

Though...I hope for another Eli victory...I think maybe Peyton gets the best of it this year.

I had Pittsburgh going until Ben's injury, and Carolina played as well as they could and still came up short in NY. Even if they play that well again, the Giants will be improved, notably on the D-Line(where Delhomme was able to hang out all day).

Love Jeff Fisher as a coach, but the Titans are just not going to get it done when it counts, IMHO. Collins will find a way to make sure of that.

I picked the Giants, though almost went with the Titans. As for the rest I feel the same way pretty much. No real clear cut favorite. Though like the Giants did last year, it makes it kind of fun and memorable even if your team gets upset in the playoffs. (Like my Packers last year)
