Help me pick a team for a new game of WWSM!

I'd like to play as a small club, preferably English, with a middle of the road history and without much recent success (not recently promoted or relegated). I'm also looking for a team where the incumbent manager isn't a legend or "preferred personnel" so basically I'm looking for a situation where a changing of the guard might reasonably take place. I'm open to any suggestions but I've never managed a team outside of England, Ireland and the MLS.

You might want to send that resume Norwich's way.

Some of my favorite careers have been in France for whatever reason if you're looking for a change.

I had a cool career in france one time. was it red star paris or something?

not that it's a huge surprise, but in FM09, O-M seem to routinely be STACKED and turning out youngsters of massive quality.

My best advice would be to go through a list of teams in the Blue Square North and South and look them up on Wikipedia. I guarantee you'll find a team where their history and backstory make you smile and you'll be compelled to take them.

I play AFC Wimbeldon which started in the Blue Square North.

Have had two long ones -- Rennes and Nantes.

I picked Northampton of League One but will keep others in mind for future games. Thanks, everyone.
