Okay, my girlfriend has a Mac and needs to access some videos for the Nursing Program at her scool. Problem is the files are .wma's but they only open up when you click the link. You can't c/p a specific link and open it in Windows Media Player 9 for Mac, which she has, so it says that she cannot open the files.

Is there a work around here or did the school screw up royally?

Is what comes comes up when you c/p the link

Anyone with any idea?

Thanks

I'd try either Flip4Mac (http://www.telestream.net/flip4mac-wmv/overview.htm) (get the free version) of the swiss army knife of video playback, VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html).

VLC gets my vote.

I tried a test by pasting that link in VLC and it says not found.

Why don't you just download the videos and then try to play them? I think part of the problem may be that you're trying to stream them off the website.

That's the thing .. I am not even seeing a way to download them. It's like they omly open up in the website.

Is iMovie on her machine? If it is, see if it will import into iMovie and she may be able to watch them there.

Right click on the video and see if it lets you save link or something like that.

Does her school have a public web URL someone can access instead of the https one?

Try playing around with the given URL and see if you can "back up" into the directory and see where all the movie files are saved. You should probably be able to download them once you find them.
