FOF is on ebay at item number 120357517008. Not sure if it is right version or not, but it is a CD copy.
Good Luck.

Well, I too pulled the file posted above, and had my user code approved... so I'm up and running with FOF 2001 as well.
As someone who just played the ever loving hell out of this game for its years as the flagship product in the line, I am *amazed* at some of the things in the game that I see now that I really didn't see then at all. I think the addition of MP, and its pace forcing us to slow down and take things more seriously, really upended this game a ton.
I wonder how much there is to learn about FOF 2007 by (re)playing FOF 2001?

By the way, some of the many curiosities of FOF 2001 just came right back to me when I opened this game for the first time in years. Just like getting back on a bicycle, I was *immediately* signing undrafted rookies to seven year minsal deals with no bonus, and was gnashing my teeth in anticipation of the demands of even the most marginal veteran free agent players. Hard to believe how far so many seemingly little things have come in this series.

Well, I suppose.
I never really shared in the UI greivances with FOF 2001... I never really *liked* it, but I was able to find the stuff I wanted, and to me that seemed to be all that mattered. But that's a matter of individual wiring, I suppose -- clearly the GigaWhut interface left many people cold.
Anyway, I'm six seasons deep into my empty cupboard foray, and likely about done. I must say... I see a lot of highly-rated players in these rookie drafts who have apparently very weak-looking bars, and I can't help but think "are these guys big time "creepers" just waiting to be discovered?" But then I find something like a 45/80 rated LB in round five of the draft, and think "who the hell cares if that other guy from round two might someday creep to 50/50?"
Good times.

sweet! thanks. i plan on running a career tonight.
I'm also adding the keyword FOF2001 to this thread (by typing it there) since that's what i searched on and found nothing earlier today.
edit: additionally, i think ill upload it to my webspace for preservation.

Ah, the days before we knew about creepers and all the other stuff that's required to compete these days.
