Hattrick, CSFBL.. I know about.

Are there any others worth checking out in this genre?

A few months ago, I started an odd project in my spare time, which, I *may* resurrect.

Does anyone else remember the old PC game, Detroit? Basically, it was a automotive company simulation. You got to design your own cars from the ground up, depending on all the components your R&D company had come up with, set up factories/sales branches, etc, etc, etc. Neat game. Anyway, I had the thought to do a similar type of game via web browser.

I got a start on it but haven't worked on it in awhile, as my free time kinda went away. May try getting back on it, though.

SimDynasty.com is another baseball sim on the web. Single season leagues are free, dynasty leagues cost $. The game engine is pretty good; the ratings system is a tad simplistic, but much easier to evaluate at a glance than CSFBL. No finances at all, but trading works, so it's got a big edge on CSFBL there.

On a related-note, one of my issues with browser-based games is the fact that the games tend to run regardless of whether the server is working or not. Right now I can't access SimDynasty. Could be work-related firewall issues, but if not it gets annoying knowing that games are happening and you have no way of adjusting lineups while the server is down.

Dola -

Almost forgot about SimulatedSports.com, which features a college basketball simulation and a horse racing sim. The hoops game is primarily built around lineup adjustments and recruiting. There are 256 schools, 24 games per season, and players are there all 4 years - no redshirts, no early entries, no transfers. Completely free as well, although there are small benefits to donating money to the site.

Simgalaxy.com is a pro basketball simulation. Its free but there is an upgrade membership. Its amusing, not something you would spend hours/day doing though.

YES, I've still got the game. My son and I play it from time to time.

I tried the demo of the game and it looked cool but my computer at the time couldn't run it well so I never ended up getting it. Much better than that piece of crap that was out last year, Auto Tycoon, or something like that.
