Seriously, beat up a random girl? Slight problem. Beat up Rihanna, who is adored by the exact demographics and fan base he supposedly targets? Dead in the water. This isn't Usher or Ne-Yo a.k.a. someone with actual talent. He's the solo urban version of Backstreet Boys or NKOTB.

It's LA and celebrities don't get in trouble there. He'll get a slap on the wrist along with a nice string of interviews to discuss his treatment for aggression and how it stems from a bad childhood. Next record will sell a ton.

Everything was great when Chris and Rihanna left the pre-Grammy party. Rihanna reported told Chris "if it's lovin' that you want" with a nod towards the door to which Chris replied "we ride."

Somewhere along the way, an argument broke out about the music selection and after several minutes of no resolution, Chris turned the radio off to which Rihanna replied "please don't stop the music!" After another couple of minutes of screaming and shouting with mutual accusations that each was unfaithful, Rihanna gave up and told Chris to "shut up and drive."

At this point Chris, with his mind clearly in disturbia, stopped the car and proceeded with the beat down the whole time thinking I hate that I love you. After Chris was finished, Rihanna quickly called the police and then sent out an SOS to the Jay-Z/Timbaland crew who have taken Rihanna under their umbrella.

At this point Chris and Rihanna either need relationship rehab or need to break it off.

Your position is that choking someone to unconsciousness is a justifiable action for possibly (who knows he didn't get it from a previous relationship, it can be silent until an outbreak occurs but is still communicable between outbreaks) spreading a disease that a large percentage of Americans have?

Again this is the rumors and to a certain extent I don't blame him for doing what he did if she lied to him about it.

1) Herpes isn't fatal - not even close.

2) How can he possibly know that he didn't get it with one of the many women that he has likely slept with before?

3) Even if she "gave him" Herpes, I can't believe you think that is in any way justification for beating her and choking her. That is sad.

Eaglesfan27

Here are some facts about Herpes from the CDC (this is just an excerpt from their website, I bolded a few things.) Noop, do millions of Americans who spread the disease and don't even know they have it deserve to be killed, beaten, choked? What about personal responsibility of people not to have unprotected sex? Shouldn't they take responsibility for diseases they exposed themselves to (and are likely to spread to other people)?

Results of a nationally representative study show that genital herpes infection is common in the United States. Nationwide, at least 45 million people ages 12 and older, or one out of five adolescents and adults, have had genital HSV infection. Over the past decade, the percent of Americans with genital herpes infection in the U.S. has decreased.

Genital HSV-2 infection is more common in women (approximately one out of four women) than in men (almost one out of eight). This may be due to male-to-female transmission being more likely than female-to-male transmission.

http://www.cdc.gov/std/herpes/how_get.gif
HSV-1 and HSV-2 can be found in and released from the sores that the viruses cause, but they also are released between outbreaks from skin that does not appear to have a sore. Generally, a person can only get HSV-2 infection during sexual contact with someone who has a genital HSV-2 infection. Transmission can occur from an infected partner who does not have a visible sore and may not know that he or she is infected.

HSV-1 can cause genital herpes, but it more commonly causes infections of the mouth and lips, so-called “fever blisters.” HSV-1 infection of the genitals can be caused by oral-genital or genital-genital contact with a person who has HSV-1 infection. Genital HSV-1 outbreaks recur less regularly than genital HSV-2 outbreaks.

1. I said potentially could have been something else, the shear fact she would/could withhold something like that means she does not have much regard for his life.

2. I was speculating on the rumors, which existed before I knew he was dating her.

3. I never said it was justification but if he wanted to beat her down I could see why he would want too.

Nope, bring on the felony and the possible murder charge!

You really have some issues man. The sad part is I don't even think you're exaggerating when you say you think she deserved it, and now I understand why so many fucked up things happen in this world because there are definitely people who believe the same thing you do in this case. 1) Again, perhaps she didn't know she was infected. How many people out there test themselves for every STD? How many guys fail to disclose diseases they have? Again, why should he be pissed at her when he chose to have unprotected sex and took the risk that he could contract diseases that she may not know she has? HIV tests have a window of 6 months that they test negative even after someone has contracted it.

2.) Does it really matter if he was dating or not. He assumes risk as soon as he chose to have unprotected sex with her.

3) Your post read to me (and apparently others) as implying that you saw it as justification for a beat down and she was "lucky" she didn't get worse. The way you stated it, made me think that you would go after a woman if she gave you a disease as did your later comment that we are all some forgiving guys. Yeah, I would be pissed if I get an STD from my wife, or from a previous GF, but I wouldn't ever think it was justification for beating her or physically harming her.

If this apparent rumor turns out to be true - and I've been busy today so the sum total of what I know about that is contained in this thread - his career will be fine, at least insofar as the audience is concerned. No idea what role she or her people or whatever played in his career, I can't honestly say I'd ever heard the guy's name until the Grammys.

These days, the songs don't matter as much as who you are featuring, it appears. From my casual review of the top 10 every so often, it appears the way to have a hit single now is just team up with some other big name and do a couple of songs where each of you is the main artist releasing the song.
