1503 A.D. review wanted

I thought 1602 was one of the worse games I have ever played but it appears that 1503 offers improvements in all areas. Can someone provide a personal review on how the game plays?

I actually enjoyed 1602 for a little while, and I'm waiting to hear about 1503 also.
