2009 NCAA Top Gun Game A DRAFT THREAD

Game Rules

1) Each participant drafts a team of 6 players.
2) Snake draft done on the forum.
3) You score as many points as each of your drafted players scores in the NCAA tournament.
4) One of your players must be from a team seeded 10th or lower.


Draft Rules:

There is a 1 hour clock that will run from 9am to 5pm eastern time Monday through Wednesday of next week. Drafting may begin immediately after the selection show ends. If a person has not sent a draft list and is unable to pick when the clock is running, I will auto-draft the top scorer who is on a team in the NCAA tournament.

If the draft is moving too slowly I reserve the right to extend the clock later in the week (ie have it from from 10am-7pm if necessary to guarantee we finish).


Note that the clock is only running 8 hours a day for 3 days. That's just 24 picks if everyone slacks off. We need to get through 72 picks, so this *really* depends on people paying attention to the forum and sending in lists.

Officially, the draft begins with the selection show 6pm Sunday afternoon. Please try to have draft lists ready (via PM to me) any time you will not consistently be on the board. If you don't want to PM me your draft lists b/c you pick shortly after me, then feel free to get someone else to pick for you, but do try to let me know that someone may be picking for you just to be safe. But, my draft strategy is usually quite transparent and I don't open up the PM's of the people that pick around me until it is their pick.

Can somebody help me with when the actual draft times are and how long each pick gets. I just fund out tomorrow is going to be crazy as I have to drive 3.5 hours first thing to look at a job and of course make the 3.5 hour trip back. I have a ranking list, but not really itching to list pick the first few picks...much more fun to let the strategy play out...but dont ant to hold things up or be auto picked either

yeah, 1 hour clock from 9-5. But that is never really reliable. I think last year one of the drafts made it through 3 1/2 rounds on Monday b/c everyone was around. So if someone else isn't around it might slow down, but if not we could roll through a good bit. Not that that really helps you out all that much, unfortunately :)

hah, I hadn't decided for sure but Aldrich was the only other name I had if you'd taken Lyons. Mizzou may flame out early if they have one of their 20% shooting halves that they seem to like so much, but I really like their press and pace.
