View Full Version : Asking for Prayers/Thoughts/Good Vibes for My Best Friend

My friend's husband passed away a week ago. The truth is, we'll never truly know what happened. As far as we know, he was hanging off a ledge by a bridge and a semi-truck passed him. The driver noticed something was wrong, looked in his rear view mirror to see if he was ok and he was gone. He pulled over and called 911, Victor had fallen 30 feet to his death.
I've known my friend for over 20 years and she's been through a lot in her young 34 years. She's seen those close to her die, shortly after giving birth to her second child, she suffered a heart attack and a stroke in the same week, and she recently had heart surgery which messed up her vocal chords. She accepted me for me w/ faults and all (and I have many). Just makes me wonder why such a good person goes thru so much pain.
Anyway, I'm rambling. The Rosemary/Visual is today, so please keep her and her kids in your thoughts as she goes through this difficult time.
Thank you.

It's peculiar how some people's purpose seems to be to teach the rest of us how insignificant our own complaints are. Hope things turn for better for her soon.

My prayers are with your friend and her family.
Not to threadjack, but I had a similar circumstance occur. Yesterday a friend of mine was rockclimbing with his family in the Columbia River Gorge. An accident happened and my friend and his sister-in-law ended up falling approximately 35 feet to the rocks below. My friend died there and his sister-in-law died later at the hospital.
He was a nice guy who was always positive and was a credit to his community. He was 30 years old and leaves behind a wife and two little boys. It is heart-breaking.

Yikes. :(
I'll be thinking of your friend's wife and her family, too. As a former rock climber, this kind of thing always hits a different nerve with me--just terrible.
