For me, it was simply that, as the online and real life world continue to collide, the concept of anonymity by using a handle seemed outdated, and thus I changed to my rl name. That seems reasonable to me.

I happened to be looking for an old thread, which i remembered because of a good post by someone specific. Then i couldn't find it because they weren't them anymore.

Then i eventually found it and just thought the whole rampant name changing was kind of silly. I realize the whole message board is silly, but it kind of screws with history in some way.
