Connecting Laptop to TV

I'm trying to connect my Dell Laptop to my Sony TV. I'm using the SVideo out on the computer into an SVideo input on the front of the TV. i can get the picture on the TV, but it is black and white.

Any suggestions on setting changes either on the laptop or TV?
