My 3rd TEW dynasty. My first one was CGC, which I completely messed up and it ended up being a "learning" dynasty for me. The second one, MAW, got a bit boring. Using Jack Avatar made it a bit too easy.
So this time, I choose a different avatar and I am using the Cornellverse '97 Mod 2.0 that I found on GDS's forum.
The avatar I chose was: Pepper Vain (Not sure, but I think he was made for the mod - he doesn't come with the vanilla database). A so-so, young worker with not much in way of overall talent. He has a B- Star Quality, B Selling, C+ Athleticism. I'll be treating him like a long-term project. I'll slowly try to improve his skill, especially his Entertainment skills which are in the Ds.

My Long Term Plan
I don't plan on staying with CZCW for the entire game. My plan is to 1) Improve "me". 2) Work my booking reputation to High 3) Move to a more mainstream, modern entertainment promotion or create my own.
The reason I took a low skilled but young avatar and an already created promotion was because I would like to "prove" myself to the C-Verse before starting a new fed out of nowhere. Seems more realistic and interesting that way. So this isn't just about running a fed, but developing a specific worker (me) from an 18 year old on the indie circuit to as high as I can take him (with an obvious rule to not ruin a fed by making me a main eventer long before I should).

First Order of Business
Owner Goals
Goal #1: When the time expires, CZCW must have improved upon its promotion ranking of #18 (23 months, 3 weeks - Critical)
Goal #2: You can not hire or extend the contract of any wrestler who has less than D- in Basics (23 months, 3 weeks - Average)
Goal #3: You can't hire any wreslter over the age of 42 (23 months, 3 weeks - Average)
Goal #4: You can not hire or extend the contract of any wrestler who has less than D- in Psychology (19 months, 3 weeks - Average)
The 3 goals for hiring workers will be easy enough. Gaining ranking, especially if a few more feds happen to be created, will be tough.
There are several promotions in the Mid Atantic, Tri State and New England area so hopefully they beat the hell out of each other and leave me alone out here on the west coast.
The one thing about TEW is that, I think, development of workers is entirely based on how they are used and there's no set "Potential" rating. So even if I sign someone like Black Eagle (who I already asked for negotiations), there's no guarentee that he develops into what he is in the default universe. He does have pretty good ratings as it is, but some of his attributes are 20-30 points (in the data) lower in '97 than in the defualt Cornellverse.

Several days after getting the initional 4 goals, owner Cliff Anderson sent me another
Goal: CZCW must not fall below Small size at any point (23 months, 3 weeks - Critical)
New Workers
Daniel Cano
20 yo Lightweight Luchador. Good Perfromance ratings, except Psych is D. But that's it. Will be a good jobber I think. (Lower Midcarder)
Electro
21 yo Lightweight luchador. Very good Performance ratings, plus some Technical ability. B+ Star Quality, B- Athleticism and C Stamina. Already is making waves in Mexico and has E- Popularity in the States. (Upper Midcarder)
Eclipse
32 yo Small Super Junior. Pretty good Performance ratings as well as decent Flying and Tehcnical skills. B- Athleticism and B- Stamina. A very solid worker. (Upper Midcarder)
Black Eagle
22 yo Lightweight Super Junior. Decent to "ok" Performance ratings. Good Flying Skills (C Aerial, B- Flashiness). Good Physical (B- Athleticism, C Toughness, B Stamina). B- Sex Appeal and B+ Star Quality. Still a very unknown worker as he has F Popularity in the States. A good worker, but not the guy I knew (well, will know in 10 years during my CGC experiment). If he's going to become the star I want him to, he's going to need some work on his Performance and Flying abilities. (Midcarder)
Blue Sky
21 yo Lightweight Cruiserweight. Blue Sky eventually becomes Ultimate Phoenix, someone that made an appearance in my MAW dynasty. Like Black Eagle, though, he has solid ratings, but is not quite the top main eventer that most know him as. Unlike Black Eagle, he's already begun to gain some popularity, but he's going to need some work on his ratings. (Upper Midcarder).
And that does it for my additions to the roster. We'll see where we go from here.

The rest of the staff
Rock Downpur - Announcer
Arnold Westberry - Road Agent
Cliff Anderson - Colour Commentary (and Owner)
Preston Holt - Personality (Strong Friendship with Cliff Anderson. Also the owner of Rapid Pro Wrestling - CZCW and RPW have a "Worker Agreement")
Shane Stones - Referee
And I will start off with trying to match size and styles between workers to see how they perform in the ring and then go from there.

Final Rating: D
The show was a success. I love that the bar is set so low for Small feds.
Good news, I did not get any "they have no chemistry" notes. Bad news, I did not get any "they have great chemistry" notes. I wonder if my Road Agent is not good enough to see it if it's there.
The main event was a let down, but I knew there was a risk in how I booked it. I'm not sure I like having Ota as champion. I definitely want to get the title into Alex Braun's hands. He and Human Arsenal had a good match so they might be a good option for my first feud.
There was an incident between Arnold Westberry and Rock Downpour after the show. I gave Arnold Westberry a Stern Warning. He said "Whatever". I said "You're fired.". Holt will take over as Road Agent.

In the default C-Verse (set in present day), the biggest active names in the North America are Tommy Cornell, Sean McFly and Dan Stone Jr. Cornell being with TCW, McFly with SWF and Stone Jr. with NOTBPW. Other big names in the US (by popularity) are Christian Faith, Steve Frehley, Ricky Dale Johnson and Remo Richardson.
In the Mod I am using (starts in 1997), the 23 year old Sean McFly is already one of the best workers with 1 reign as SWF champion already under his belt. Dan Stone Jr. is also already at superstar status, being ranked #2 in the 1996 Power 100. Tommy Cornell is a very talented 18 year old that is signed with SWF, but still isn't very popular. I'm interested to see how he develops in this alternate universe.
As for the top of the top in 1997, Rip Chord is still active at 47 and just won the SWF title. 50 year old Sam Strong is active with HGW. Nemesis, Sam Keith and Bruce The Giant are all big stars in the US. Christian Faith is in his prime.

SoCal Title Tables Match: Alex Braun defeated Fumihiro Ota in 16:37 when Fumihiro Ota was put through a table. (C-)
Alex Braun wins the CZCW SoCal Championship title. Fumihiro Ota was really off his game tonight.
Final Rating: D+
Got a few chemistry notes. Daniel Cano will help get some overness for Blue Sky. I have to keep Human Arsenal and Nathan Priest away from each other as well as keep me out of the ring with Troy Tornado.
For the C-Verse vets, the Taylor Morton vs. Chris Perkins match may become a collectible at some point. Taylor Morton becomes Acid (and that change may come very soon), Chris Perkins becomes The Insane Machine. (And another fyi, Nathan Priest is Whippy The Clown)
Alex Braun now has the title and I plan to have him keep it for awhile. I may have him drop it to someone else for a month or two as a token to, say, Human Arsenal or another worker than has multiple matches vs. Braun. That's the plan, anyway.

Plague and Acid didn't get a "don't click" message for tag teaming, so I may push them as my best tag team. If I am going to have a Tag division at all, it can not be led by The Gilbert Brothers. I may look for another team either in promotion or bring in a few more workers.

Final Rating: D-
Ouch. Not a good card at all, and yet, still a success. I really thought Silver Shark and Blue Sky would make a really good final. I don't think the storyline helped, and now that I think about it, storylines probably aren't updated until after the card is over. If that's the case, then it wouldn't help at all.
Acid and Plague are the new Tag champions. They will probably keep them for awhile.

Signed new worker Sammy Bach to a $350/PPA 9 Month deal. He's going to be a superstar, probably soon, and I'd like to try to get some good rated matches from him before one of the big promotions sign him away.
I also signed Spanish Superfly, a very talented Mexican worker who hasn't had much exposure to the US market yet. He signed for $900/PPA for 9 months and will be an Upper Midcarder Face.
Signed Pablo Rodriguez, the "Priest of Pain". He signed for $800/PPA for 9 months and will be a Midcarder Heel.
Both Superfly and Rodriguez both will likely shoot up to Main Event in a few months time.
As a result from the recent signings, I have to trim some of the roster. Dog Fyte, Clark Alexander and Fumihiro Ota have been let go. Alexander didn't seem to fit with the rest of the promotion. I've also liked Dog Fyte, but he doesn't really fit with the product either. Ota, unfortunately, just isn't the worker that Silver Shark, Human Arsenal or the new guys are. He was a victim of just too much roster. I will likely bring him back if Superfly or Rodriguez are signed away.
Relationships: Blue Sky has become friends with Black Eagle (Plague) and Taylor Morton (Acid). Pecs has also become friends with Nathan Priest.
Tommy Cornellhas left the SWF. No word on why. He is touring with BHOTWG right now.

But for comparison, MPFW and OLLIE, the major Mexican promotions, only pull a 0.06 for thier TV shows.

congrats on the team chemistry now just have to get them experience.
Brady Prince have good consistancy and selling? Had a game where he had great performance ratings (A overall) but never developed as much in other stats so wasn't a main event guy but great undercard guy. Is Ted Brady(Matty Phatty) employed by anyone if so how does he look? (another favorite of mine) the man is the cheeky monkey unique gimmick
Oh if you get to the point of a new promotion I hope you open up your own and take down SWF!

Brady Prince has B+ Consistency and C Selling, but he just entered the wrestling world so he's going to get better. Matty Phatty is with 4C right now and has good Performance ratings and decent Entertainment ratings, but not much else.
Oh if you get to the point of a new promotion I hope you open up your own and take down SWF!
That's the plan. I'm going to use CZCW to get to a "High" booking reputation so I can start my own fed. I'm at Average now so I will probably get to "High" quickly. I'll probably stay with CZCW to use it as a testing grounds to look for great, cheap workers that have chemistry, and then start my own fed and sign the good workers.

Booya! A B- title match and my first C+ card.
My popularity in the South West is now D-. I don't know if that happened just now or within the last week or 2. Can't remember when I last checked it, but it looks like I'll be in the Grissom Auditorium for now on.
I had Acid and Plague drop the belts so that I can now have them beat the hell out of people every week on my TV show. They are still on relatively cheap contracts ($500 for Acid, $250 for Plague), so having them on my TV show will give me good matches every week for a relatively cheap price.
I didn't even realize it but Scout and Guide are my most expensive tag team...
And even though Tommy Cornell is $1500 a pop, he's also far and away my best worker and I need to get every thing I can out of him. Him dropping the title means I can (realistically) put him on every TV show, even if he fights a $100 jobber 3 out of 4 weeks.
Basically, I need my best talent to not have titles so that I can use them every week on my TV shows. Spanish Superfly, Human Arsenal and Pablo Rodriguez will likely take turns being champion while I thank Tommy Cornell for being our workhorse by not making him champ and jobbing him out when he eventually signs a written deal with someone and leaves us.......

sabotai,
Just wondering why you wouldn't want the best worker with the title. I have no problem defending the title on a tv show main event even if it against a lower midcarder. Heck i have done Jack Bruce vs Davis Wayne Newton (on his debut match as an enhancement talent) 6 minute match it got a B rating.
I have a bad habbit of putting my top 3 guys and have them fight my job squad (roating jobbers) in the first and last two matches every week on tv.
Throw in angles(building the storylines for the ppv) and tag matches see if anyone is unhappy usually a full show there.

I'm note sure if it matters or works this way, but I'd be worried that the title's prestige level will drop if I have the title defended every week against Lower Midcarders. Even if it doesn't matter, that seems like a bit of "gaming the game".

In his first day back at actually doing something for the promotion, Preston Holt got into yet another incident. The hammer falls, he is getting fired.
My booking reputation is now set to "High". I can leave and start my own promotion whenever I want.
And I may do it really soon. I had a lot of fun with my CGC dynasty, even though it was a disaster from the start. MAW was a success, but boring and CZCW is starting to become boring. I think I need to be running an entertainment-style promotion so that I can run plenty of angles and storylines to keep things interesting for me.
I could just simply change CZCW's product, though. If I were to start my own promotion, it would be very similar to CZCW as far as in-ring product goes. Modern, Daredevil, Pure and Hardcore would all be important aspects (Hardcore being the one not high on importance for CZCW). Just a bit more Entertainment with angles and storylines thrown in.
Silver Shark's contract was up for renegotiation, but he was asking for too much so we'll be saying goodbye to him.

will make getting sponsorship quite hard
we won't get rocked by industry changes and the 'young lion' system will not be taken into account.
I had started this on "Hard" I think, but it gave me hardly any money and too much, IMO, popularity. So I edited the data to give me $100,000 (for $10,000), but I slashed my Tri-State popularity in half (made it 20%, down from 40%) and eliminated all popularity in the other regions. This made me a Small promotion.
I also waited several months to see if a booking position in a promotion I liked opened up, but it did not. We will be starting in January 1999.

Referee: Bret Graveson, $800 PPA, C

Roster
Main Eventer
Acid - Heel - Cruiserweight - $700 PPA
Wiley Steinway - Face - Brawler - $800 PPA
Upper Midcarder
Hell Monkey - Face - Puroresu - $150 PPA
Mean Jean Cattley - Heel - Technician - $250 PPA
Midcarder
Kashmir Singh - Face - Regular Wrestler - $150 PPA
Chris Perkins - Heel - Cruiserweight - $150 PPA
Primal Rage - Heel - Brawler - $150 PPA
Rolling Johnny Stones - Face - Technician - $500 PPA
Lower Midcarder
Pepper Vein - Cruiserweight - me
Brady Prince - Regular Wrestler - $150 PPA
Opener
Nathan Black - Technician - $150 PPA
My two Main Eventers cost a lot more, but they have the popularity that will be bringing people to my shows. Johnny Stones costs more as well due to his popularity in UK (doesn't do me good but ti was what he demanded) and his skills (which will do me a lot of good).
My shows will be 2 hours long, since I want to get everyone involved in both matches and angles.
The guys who will be good on the mic for angles
Rolling Johnny Stones
Mean Jean Cattley
The list is short. Everyone will be getting a lot of mic time, though. Since we are small, I can afford some crappy angles (as long as they happen earlier in the show) in order to improve their skills.
The people I really want to work on mic skills are: Pepper Vein, Hell Monkey, Acid and Chris Perkins, so expect to see them boring the crowds a lot.
Hell Monkey just entered the wrestling world as I start me fed, so I'm very happy to have gotten him. BHOPTWG happened to grab him too, but only to a PPA contract. Mean Jean works for PPPW and Rolling Johnny Stones works for ROF. Everyone else is working just for me for now.
I tried to get Black Eagle, but he's on tour in Japan right now so I have to wait.
I'm going to start off with a few standard singles fued storylines. I'm thinking Hell Monkey vs. Acid, Mean Jean Cattley vs. Wiley Steinway and Chris Perkins vs. Rolling Johnny Stones.
One last thing, none of my workers have gimmicks. Since the fans aren't keen on them, I decided to get rid of them. I may start putting them back in for a few workers if it helps. Actually, I'm pretty unclear as to how gimmicks affect workers and match ratings.....

I'm only really concerned with the Tri State Regional Battle, and that's the one I finish last on.
Since it's been over 2 years since I started, here is the state of the wrestling world.
Supreme Wrestling Federation (SWF) is still at Global and the ruler of the wrestling world. Sam Keith defended the SWF title 15 times before losing it to Jim Force (Ultimate Warrior-like worker) in Feb. 1998. Force would defend it 14 times before dropping it to the current champion Mr. Supreme. Mr. Supreme is a 30 year old drunk. He's one of the best when sober, but gets in trouble with the law.
The only National level promotion (no International Level promotions) is Pride Glory Honor Wrestling (PGHW) in Japan. Current champion is 42 year old puroresu Koryusai Kitoaji.
At Cult level, we have 5SSW (All-Female promotion), BHOTWG (Puroresu Japan), CGC (Sports Entertainment - Canada), GCG (Pure Old School - Japan), HGC (Sports Entertainment - US), MPWF (Lucha Libre - Mexico), and NOTBW (Classic Wrestling - Canada).
HGC is the #2 promotion, but seem to be falling. They need C+ Importance in 8 regions to get to National, but only have 4. So far, their cards this year have been disappointing. They had B- popularity throughout the US, but have fallen to C+ in a few regions.
Regional Feds: AAA (Women's Entertainment - US), BBW (Garbage Wrestling - Japan), 4C (Underground Action - Canada), DAVE (Cult Entertainment - US), Hinote Dojo (Tradition Puro - Japan), MOSC (Blood, Beer and Brawling - UK), OLLIE (Lucha Libre - Mexico), PPPW (Traditional - US), RPW (Cutting Edge - US), XFW (Origins of Hardcore - US)
DAVE, PPPW, RPW and XFW are my direct competitors who are Regional.
Small promotions: CWF (Women's - Canada), CZCW (Explosive Action - US), MHW (Hardcore Lucha Libre - Mexico), NEW (Entertainment - US), NWW (Modern Entertainment - US), NYCW (Slow Paced Traditional - US), ROF (Rigan Style - UK), SCCW (Traditional - US)
CZCW fel hard when I left. NEW and NYCW are my Small competitors. SCCW, Southern Class Championship Wrestling, is in the South East. I'm sure we'll eventually be battling each other.

I think I can afford one more "major" start at about $1k a month. Plus, I need a few more lower level faces. I've gotten a bit heel-heavy.
Dan Billot - 19 year old face lower midcarder. Has good Consistency and Selling. $150 PPA
The Guru - 30 years old. Has really good Entertainment and Performance skills, but no worker skills (Brawling, Flying or Technical). Hardly any athleticism or stamina. He's signed for $1k, and will probably just use him more in angle than in matches. He's listed as semi-active.
Benjamin Moore - 22 year old, hardly any skills. $100 PPA
Christopher Hart - 24 years old. Better heel than face, but I need faces. He has A* Sex Appeal and A Star Quality, but hardly any ability except C Athleticism and A Power. May have potential to be a decent worker with draw power. $150 PPA
Lucas Hale - 19 year old. Not much ability, but since he's young he could develop to a decent worker. $100 PPA + $114 travel
Alex Braun - 37 year old face Main Eventer. Good entertainment, good performance, good flying skills. $800 PPA.

Booo! At Perkins and Stones not having chemistry. The storyline wasn't going anywhere anyway and I want to get Braun and The Guru into some kind of storyline so that I can use their Microphone skills. The Perkins vs. Stones storyline will die. Both of their momentums are in the toilet so ending it won't do much harm.
Nice to find an opponent to job to Acid. The problem with Acid is that his momentum is really low. So is Wiley Steinway. Vin Tanner, Alex Braun and Eclipse all have a C momentum. Moving the title over to one of them, and having a 4 man storyline with The Guru thrown in sounds good to me.

If it seems odd that I gave Acid the title out of nowhere, it is because I completely forgot about the Major Title reign promise I made him. I had planned on making Acid vs. hell Monkey be a title feud, but like I said, I forgot...
Anyway, I need to start really planning ahead with this. I keep winging it with each card, and it's getting worse. Acid vs. Hell Monkey had the best match so far (D+), so their feud becomes the "for the title" feud. I'll figure out something with everyone else.

Change of Schedule
I am no longer doing monthly shows. I've switched to doing weekly small shows that will be 1 hour long. The goal is to use any talent that cost more than $150 PPA just once per month. Twice if needed for storyline purposes. The plan for each show: 2 matches vs. lower workers (Os-LMs) to give UMs and MEs momentum, a few angles, 1 match involving two M-UM workers, and 1 main event match. I might bleed money for awhile, but I hope it's not too bad. I've been making a few thousand profit each month, so if this backfires, I'll just switch back to monthly shows.

Storyline Status
My short term plan is to run unchained storylines. The plan is to have 4 running storylines, one or two will be advanced each show. This may get expensive, but I need to try something. Finishing last in the regional battles are preventing me from getting bigger.
4 Storylines broken up as: 1 Storyline centered around the title (the one I feel does better will eventually win the storyline - or the one I know will not jump ship to another promotion will win). 1 centered around two other main eventers (if one does badly, he'll get demoted. The one who does better will probably go into a storyline for the title). 1 centered around a main eventer vs. an upper midcarder (if the ME wins, they stay where they are. If the UM wins, they switch roles). And 1 4-man storyline between 2 Upper Midcarders and 2 Midcarders (the two who do the best, regardless of which side wins, will be Upper Midcarders).
With this system, hopefully, the cream rises to the top and I start getting some really good shows/storylines going. Those not in storylines will appear once or twice a month and win squash matches to build momentum.
Current Storylines
NWW Title Storyline: Acid (c) vs. Hell Monkey. Current Heat: D-. Status: Heading into final match
2 Main Eventers: Alex Braun vs. The Guru. Current Heat: E. Status: Evolved from sotryline with the two of them plus Vin Tanner and Eclipse. Expect lots of angles. In fact, this may be one storyline where I'll have both appear at most shows. Expensive, but the two of them are, by far, the best I have at Microphone and overall Entertainment. I have to use that.
1 ME vs. 1 UM: Vin Tanner vs. Wiley Steinway. Current Heat: - Status: Has not begun
2 UM vs. 2 M: Eclipse and Daniel Cano vs. Tate Lyall and CHris Perkins. Current Heat: - Status: Has not begun

Wow, I spent too much money. And what's worse, despite having cards rated E+, D-, D and D....I still finished last in the Regional Battle. DAVE has a show rated a C, LAW has a TV show and puts on Cs. XFW had 1 card, a D+. PPPW, a C card. NYCW had a B- card.
I'm starting to think that starting off at Regional with $10,000 is actually easier than starting off at Small with $100,000. At least with Regional you get some semi-stars coming to your pomotion.
Anyway, now that I have the right talent and am putting on some matches in the C ratings, I'm going back to monthly shows. If I really pushed to have C rated weekly shows, which I would need to do, I can't even imagine how expensive that would be since I was $22k in the red for D shows.
But it wasn't a total waste. I filtered out some bad workers, signed some good ones. I have several workers now that I am confident will give me C level matches.

Tri State Regional Battle: 2nd out of 4.
I'm losing Hell Monkey and Pablo Rodriguez as they tour with PGHW. I have other people signed who will be touring, but Hell Monkey and Pablo Rodriguez already had 3 contracts when they agreed to the tour, and I'm the odd fed out. Just as I got going....good thing I didn't give Rodriguez the title.
But there's good news. Black Eagle's contract was not renewed by SWF and now he's here in NWW! Sweet!. I'll spend several shows having him beat up people before I will have him fued with Spanish Superfly, most likely. I was hoping to see how he'd do in a Hell Monkey fued, but that's out unless I happen to snag him when his tour is over.
In Storyline news, the Hell Monkey vs. Rodriguez fued immediately was deleted when they left. I also ended the four-way fued with Chris Perkins, Eclipse, Tate Lyall and Daniel Cano. Everyone will keep their current pushes.
Acid vs. Spanish Superfly - Heat D
The plan was to end this, but since I lose Monkey and Rodriguez, this fued will continue on for awhile longer.
Braun, The Guru and Jave - Heat D-
This will also continue. Braun will get the crap kicked out of him a few times before I evolve it to give him help.
Vin Tanner vs. Troy Tornado - Heat (Not Debuted)
They put on a D- match so maybe a few more will get a bit of heat and some better matches.
The Rest....
Faces: Wiley Steinway, Eclipse, Kashmir Singh, Christopher Hart
Heels: Pepper Vain, Primal Rage, Tate Lyall, Mean Jean Cattley
Each worker will face the 4 opponents on the other side. A few are Upper Midcarders (Steinway and Eclipse), the rest are Midcarders. After they all have their 4 matches, The one face and the one heel with the best average match rating will be given "Upper Midcarder" status. The one on each side with the worst will be taken all the way to "Lower Midcarder" The rest will be "Midcarders".
If the demoted workers don't like it, they can leave. Cream always rises. I will keep doing this every 4 months to try to work up the good workers and push down the bad. I'll probably get Lower Midcarders in the mix to give them a way to work up the ladder.

The Guru and Java left the ring, vowing revenge on the unknown newcomer. (E+)

Alex Braun and The Guru....banned from the main event. At least vs. each other. I may just relegate The Guru to manager status. He has good in ring skills, but he can't last. I guess I can have him fight jobbers, but no more top level matches.
Spanish Superfly was working elsewhere, that is why the lack of a title match. It was originally going to be Acid vs. Superfly, but I had to stick Blue Sky in there. The reason I made Braun vs. Guru the main event after that was because it had more Heat on the Advance Booking screen. My bad.
The menacing figure that showed up was Archangel. For those unfamilair with the C-Verse, basically imagine Crow Sting, but just a white face. His starting gimmick is called "Avenging Angel".

We finished 3rd in the Tri State Regional Battle.
The Black Knight will be leaving. We wanted a bit more than what I was willing to give for a jobber.
We've been shifting back and forth from E- and E Importance in the Tri State region. An E+ gives us Regional status. The good thing about Tri State is that it has 100% Importance, which means once our popularity hits E+, so does our Importance. We're probably still a ways from E+, but I don't want to be constantly shifting between Small and Regional, so once we hit Regional, I need to be ready to make a strong push to give us some breathing room.
It would seem like the world of the SWF has gone completely to hell because they have fallen down to Cult size. Supreme TV was dumped by their UK channel, Canadian channel and Japanese channel. As a result, SWF is only seen in the US now, except one show that is still on in Europe, which they will probably lose soon. Sam Keith, as a result, has been removed as Head Booker.
I'd put my hat in for the job, but their product doesn't fit what I want to do. Mainstream is Key, Traditional and Comedy is Heavy, Cult Medium. That means workers are rated much more on popularity than performance and all workers need proper gimmicks. Not quite my cup of tea. Don't think I'd have too much fun booking a show based more on popularity than talent.

I am now down with the Braun/Archangel vs Java/The Guru storyline. That just didn't work out like I'd hope. Archangel and Java not having chemistry in the ring was a real killer, as is The Guru's lack of stamina. I'll probably let The Guru go. Need to put on good matches in this promotion, and despite his in ring Performance talent, he hasn't lived up. Alex Braun is close to being let go as well.
Java....not sure what to do with him. I need to see how Archangel does against the other workers, but he'll be getting plenty of matches in the next several weeks. His Momentum is in the toilet right now, but if it improves, I'll be throwing him into the title picture.

Got a message that I need more storylines. First I need to end the Acid vs. Spanish Superly storyline soon. It's been going on long enough and I need to find a new opponent for Superfly. I think Acid's reigns as champion are over. He's a great worker and puts on great matches, and will continue to get title matches to ensure good main events, but he has no Entertainment skills at all (neither does Superfly, though. :( ). Superfly gets the nod to keep the title since he has better in ring skills than Acid.
Blue Sky does have some Entertainment skills, so he'll be getting a push. As does Archangel, but he needs some momentum work. Blue Sky is at a D-, which is low, but Archangel is at E-, so it's going to be some time before he gets a real Main Event push.
Looking over the possible choices, Java, Vin Tanner and Mean Jean Cattley seem to be the only real options. Java has the same problem as Acid, no Entertainment skills. But he does have a high Menace rating, so I can use that for angles. Vin Tanner could be an option for a brief Storyline, but his only "angle" skill is Acting. He has a C+ in Menace....
And then there's Mean Jean Cattley, who I really want to give a title push to. He doesn't stand out in any one area, he's just a good all around worker. C-A Performance ratings, Cs Technical skills, Cs Entertainment skills.
I think I'll have a few months of Spanish Superfly beating a few of the other heels while Mean Jean starts getting big wins over other UM and MEs to give his Momentum (currently D) a bit more of a boost and then set him up with a hopefully long fued with Spanish Superfly while I have Blue Sky and Acid fued as the set up to title matches on most cards.
And then I need to find a 3rd storyline somewhere. Possibly Archangel vs Vin Tanner or Primal Rage.

Good card. Great main event. Krause puts on a D+ with Archangel with no momentum so they should be able to put up C- or matches if I build them both up some. Cattley and Eclipse could become good opponents for each other too.

We finished last in the Tri State Regional Battle.
I feel like things might be coming together for my promotion now, despite the D card I just put on. Which means my roster will probably get blown up unless I can get to Regional and get on TV. I need to get more popular than my competitors (that aren't all the much bigger/more popular than I am now) so that my workers stop leaving me for them, or at least, start prioritizing my promotion over the others.
Looking over my roster, I see about 4 or 5 faces that can take turns being in the main event picture. Hell Monkey and Spanish Superfly will be the top faces for the most part, with Blue Sky, Eclipse and American Elemental getting in there. Rolling Johnny Stones and Stevie Grayson have potential. As for the bigger guys, Archangel isn't sky rocketed up like I thought, and Whistler will probably bring people in with how popular in the Tri State region he is.
On the heel side, it's a little more slim. Acid has been the steady mean event heel. Mean Jean Cattley is ready. Sabastian Krause and Vin Tanner do good. Java...not sure about. Primal Rage and John Greed could have some potential. I could really use Black Eagle right now...still have a wait a bit before I can bring him back. He's signed to 3 promotions right now.

I think part of my problem is that not enough workers get seen enough, and that includes the jobbers.
Gregg Boone, Rex Reeves, Dario Shelton, Dan Billot, Benjamin Moore, Troy Tornado, Vin Tanner and Java have all been let go. I'll be making a few more round of cuts soon. I need to cut my roster down to where 80%+ of my roster is on every show, not half. Whistler has also left after signing a written deal with SWF.

Ana Garcia - $600 PPA - female manager
Benson Crane - $400 PPA - Good skills all around, but not popular. Will try to develop him into a top worker.
Ryan Powell - $100 PPA - Decent all around skills. Will do good as a Lower Midcarder.
Queen Emily - $50 PPA - female manager
Joey Minnestoa - $600 PPA + ~$200 travel - 17 years old, just entered the wrestling world. Already has great Performance skills, but lacks Entertainment ability. Maybe a manager will help with that.
I've also went and offered Worker Agreements with all other promotions in the US that are Regional or smaller. All accepted except for PPPW and RPW. This will let me to a talent trade. Now I'll be able to try out possible new signings if they are signed with another Regional or Small promotion. Plus, if one of them "makes it big", they won't be able to steal my talent.

It may seem a little boring, but having Acid, Hell Monkey, Spanish Superfly and Plague just keep rotating in the Main Event and the lead in match is what I'll probably keep doing until I build up my other workers. Having those last two matches be a C- or better is just too important.
Still looking for some tag prospects. Acid and Plague are too important to the main event right now to take them out and use them as a tag team. I'm going to keep tagging random workers up until I find a few teams that have good chemistry.

I agree until you have one of the problems of trying to grow a small promotion. If you don't use your top 4 guys in the last 2 matches throw in regional battles and you can actually lose popularity with a decent show.
Not the best for dynasty writing though

Worker Status
Momentum
Plague C-
Hell Monkey D+
Acid D+
Eclipse D
Spanish Superfly D
Joey Minnesota D
And then down from there. Minnesota has shot up the momentum ladder, and oddly Eclipse is hanging on despite me not doing much with him. I wonder how Joey Minnesota would do with more of a push. Perhaps vs. Hell Monkey to see how he fares. Both have Brawling and Technical skills so it may make for a good match.
Popularity in Tri State (in alphabetical order - with most Openers to Midcarders left off)
Acid D-
Blue Sky E
Bret Biggz E-
Eclipse E+
Hell Monkey D-
Joe Sexy E
Joey Minnesota E-
Matt Sparrow E-
Mean Jean Cattley E
Plague D
Primal Rage E
Rolling Johnny Stones F+
Spanish Superfly E+
I've been trying to improve Stones' popularity but he's stuck at F+. He's a really good worker and if he'd gain some popularity, I know I'd get some really good matches from him.
New Workers
I went out and spent money. I brought in a few popular workers to try to get us over the hump and into steady C shows.
Genghis Rhan - $1500 PPA + $700 downside. Lightweight Psychopath that has a C- popularity in Tri State. I've been waiting for him to drop his 3rd promotion for awhile. Dunno how long this will last. Probably 1 card....
Krusher Karloff - $1500 PPA. Big Heavyweight Brawler. Not very skilled, but has C- popularity in Tri State.
Most of the workers I targeted turned us down, and a few were willing to negotiate, but just were asking for too much. But two popular Tri-State workers may just put us over the top and on the road to Regional.
