Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Equirer reports (via TSB) that the Bengals might be the next NFL franchise featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks.

We recently were told (and of course forgot to post) that the Bengals are and will be the subjects of the 2009 season of the show.

Many teams want no part of the endeavor, due to concerns that their opponents would study every second of the coverage in the hopes of gaining an advantage.

Those fears might be unfounded. Still, ”might” won’t change the views of ultra-secretive football minds like Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, and Scott Pioli.

Let’s say the chances of yielding a competitive advantage are only one percent if a team participates in the series.

If they don’t, the chances of that happening are zero.

Anybody watch this last night besides me? As a Bengals fan...

1. Mike Brown makes me want to puke. He puts himself at the front of a lecture hall, tells the coaches what should be done instead of actually listening to his coaches.

2. The method of cutting the fullback was horrible. Just classless.

3. The line by Chad Johnson about being "pissed off to the highest levels of pistivity" was hilarious.

4. Marvin Lewis is probably a better coach than I give him credit for. His hands are tied by Brown.

5. Mauluga will be a stud.

Wow after seeing that show all I can say is the Bengals organization is an absolute dumpster fire. This season is going to be entertaining but not in a good way I am afraid to say for the poor Bengal fans like yourself. This teams needs a guy like Shanahan to come in and clean house.

Agreed...I was very curious as to what would be seen and in the first hour of this series for the Bengals, I saw I could possibly ever need to see. Mike Brown is 100% the problem and it's not going to change no matter who they bring in.

I wish I knew for sure but I'm fairly positive he never coached in college or the NFL -- yet somehow, because of who is dad is, he thinks he knows everything about football. Make sure to watch the coaches reactions when they discuss changing a d-lineman to a tight end.
