New BBCF League featuring Division 2 teams

I took a 4 year old D2 mod from the Greydog site that was about 90% finished and finished it. I had to move some teams around for balance but all 148 D2 teams are included (to the best of my knowledge) ... I simmed 5 years for history and we are currently selecting teams. First sim will be Tuesday may 5th and it is the Budget sim.

There isn't a list of prestige but you can find it through the BLD2 tab and hit league reports

There is a 16 team playoff and about 20 other bowl games ... If the game was capable of having a 32 team playoff then there wouldn't be any bowl games ... with a human controlled league rewarding only 16 out of 148 teams with a post season game would drive people away.

In the first five seasons Bloomsburg won 4 PSAC titles and Indiana PA won the other ... both teams made several trips to the playoffs.

Bloomsburg prestige is 84, Indiana (PA) is at 85. Slippery Rock is the only team taken so far in the PSAC

Bloom went to the 2001 title game (where they lost to Delta State, I believe)...they had an unbelievable comeback in the 4th Q against JT O'Sullivan and UC Davis to make that happen.

They've really become quite the regional/national power the past 10 years...they were good when I was there, but got really consistent and a player on the national stage (as national as D2 can get) over the last 5-6 seasons.

Jahri Evans, OG for New Orleans, is a Bloom grad.

Man, if I had BBCF on this computer, I'd be really tempted to take them.

Not real sure what you are asking but I didn't do anything with the regions

What I mean is this: In the BB-BBCF, the rule is that you have two teams, they can't be in the same region. Is there a rule like that here? (I don't know if the BB-BBCF says they have to be in different conferences, but that sorta seems like a given.

Also, is the 125 prestige limit based on the initial season, or throughout? For example, if I take two teams with prestige of 125, and next season it moves up to 130, do I need to drop one to stay at 125 or below?

It is only on initial prestige what you do with them after that is up to you ... I don't have a problem if the teams are in the same region ...

I like it, I mean I was looking at GVSU and they are loaded...especially compared to Findlay! Seems realistic to me, I wish I could have about 5 of their LBs though. :)

I haven't put it up anywhere yet ... I'll see if I can find some place to host it ... the only thing to remember is that I switched some teams to different conferences to make the game work better ...

It's not that big of a file so here it is ... other things to remember, back up your original pstat and helmets file ... the bowls are made up ... I have been fixing things as I find them within the league I set up, haven't made all the changes in the pstat file so you may find a few colors off here and there or a few nicknames off.

Rounding out the playoffs now .. championship is Thursday night ... one thing that is making me laugh is Valdosta State. Best team in BLD2 and in six seasons they have not lost a regular season game. For six years they have choked in the playoffs, never even making it to a title game.

Plenty of teams available ... good time to get in also.
