Rough deal for the Mirage. First the tiger attack on Roy, now this. It's bad enough they lost a big headliner prematurely once. Now they'll have to land a new one for a second time.

I'd never heard of Danny Gans until '98 when I went to Vegas. There were Danny Gans billboards and signs plastered all over the airport to greet me as soon as I got there. It was all Danny Gans, all the time. Then after I left I haven't heard another word about him till now.

His show was pretty high quality, for that sort of thing.

Ah, didn't realize he moved to a new hotel. That must have been a recent move given that hotel just opened within the past year or so. I bet they paid him a fortune to switch over. He was making millions at the Mirage each year.

Mirage got Terry Fator - so probably didn't hurt them too much.

From a quick Google, it looks like he just moved over there earlier this year once the new theater was ready for him. One of the longer articles said it was pretty much about him & Steve Wynn (who originally hired him at the Mirage) wanting to work together again, or at least Wynn wanted Gans and Gans wanted to work for Wynn (not sure how much working "together" actually exists in a situation like that).

Yeah, he's doing very well and seems like a really likeable guy.
