Looking for a good sim (Aerobiz anyone?)

My brother was visiting this week and one night we nerded it up and started downloading a bunch of old Genesis roms. Anyway, we came across an old favorite, Aerobiz. This game was really ahead of its time and is still pretty fun. It's a big sluggish for today's standards but it got me thinking what other games are out there that are similar. I know there are the Tycoon series but what else? Or which or those are the best ones?

Doesn't necessarily need to be an airline one although that is a pretty cool theme.

Anyway, lazy Saturday and thought I'd ask the folks at FOFC.

P.S. I love that the Aerobiz music is a 100% rip off of "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton. LOL.

Aerobiz is freaking awesome.

I wish Aerobiz II were easier to find. I'd love to add that one to my Genesis collection.

Aerobiz was indeed very very cool. Hadn't thought about it in a long time but boy did I put a lot of hours into that one.

I remember playing Aerobix like crazy back in the day.

As for similar games, I can't really think of any except those 2nd rate Tycoon games. Capitalism Plus might be something worth looking for if you've never played it. Not exactly the same as Aerobiz, but another really fun Business game.

Not a sim but airline related. I've been playing the hell out of a flash game called Airport Madness. You control airplane takeoffs and landings and it is a really cool timewaster.

Hmm...sounds like the PC game Airbucks, which was almost, but not quite, Railroad Tycoon with airplanes. Came out sometime in the late 1990s, I think.

So in Aerobiz, what the hell is going on with the city screens? I'm talking about the ones where you are attempting to buy slots. What exactly does all that stuff mean? What is a good tourism or economy score?

I loved Aerobiz and Aerobiz: Supersonic. I played the hell out of those games.
