View Full Version : I Guess Cell Phones Can Get Crossed Lines, Too?

Weirdest thing just happened...my wife calls my phone (her phone number and FB pic come up), and when I answer, some lady asks for Cathy. I'm beyond confused, say "excuse me?" and she asks again and I tell her she's got the wrong number. At the same time, when my wife hits the speed dial for my number, some woman answers and says, "Hi!", at which point my wife asks "who's this?", the woman asks the same thing and then hangs up. I try calling her, but the line is busy. About 30 seconds later, she calls my work phone and we compare notes about what the fuck just happened.

That was bizarre. I've never experienced that with a cell phone before. The strange thing is that we appear to have had separate conversations, at the same time, with perhaps the same woman...?

Could be. If I had known what was going on, maybe I could have passed a message from one to the other.

I think your wife IS Cathy (though it may be Kathy), and she meant to call her other husband and had to cover her mistake.

Pretty much impossible. We have so much crap going on with kids and work and stuff, neither of us have any time to cheat on the other. Every minute of our lives is pretty much accounted for.

I'd rather my wife be cheating on me than find out Kathy Griffin was trying to call. Although I guess the worst-case scenario would be my wife cheating on me with Kathy Griffin.
