Alright, I didn't want to post anymore in the Terminator thread that gottimd started out of respect...

I was disappointed and underwhelmed by the movie. Plain and simple. It definitely had potential, but, with a director like McG...well, what can I say?

Why? See Spoilers below....If you read them, it may very well spoil it for you, so you are warned.

1. I thought the humans were at war with the machines? It's more like isolated skirmishes on a small scale around the world. Where's all the terminators? You will understand what I mean in the Los Angeles scenes.

2. I liked the "Arnold" cameo.

3. A little too Matirxish when the prototype terminator gets to Skynet

4. So, the hybrid/prototype terminator was so effective and was able to bring not only Kyle Reese to Skynet, but, also John Connor, why did they not try to dupicate it later, but with more control?

5. The machines tried to exterminate the humans starting in T3, took over the computers, the military, etc...yet in 2018, the humans manage to have an air force, fuel, weapons, all things needed to maintain an air force and they make no attempts to hide it from Skynet.

6. Even though the prototype termintor was a terminator and could toss other terminators around like rag dolls, none of the humans when they physically interacted with him noticed how 'heavy' he was? The point of reference is in T3, when the paramedics come to the vet hospital and they find Arnold, one of them tries to lift up Arnold but he was too heavy (because of his indoskeleton).

7. I'd rank this movie above T3, but below T1 & T2.

I'm hoping that T5 will have a different director that knows how to make an action/suspense movie and not an MTV movie. McG totally Uwe Boll'd it. After seeing this, I'm not surprised SCC was cancelled.
