Sadly I accidentally deleted by Padres dynasty so this is going to be a new one taking over the Orioles. It's on All Star with me playing one or two games a week, more as we get better I assume. Finances, promotions and such will be handled by the CPU.

Orioles - Braves Blockbuster!

The Baltimore Orioles were proactive as Spring came to a close, making a deal that could set the course to the future once and for all. The Orioles sent 1B Aubrey Huff, 2B Brian Roberts and last year's first round pick Brian Matsuz to the Atlanta Braves for SP Tommy Hanson and 2B Martin Prado.

Roberts and Huff will start from the get go for Atlanta, providing them with some much needed offense, while Matsuz can jump into AA and replace what Hanson gave them eventually.

With the surplus of arms in Atlanta's system, and a win now mentality the deal works wonders for them.

Meanwhile Hanson will now start the year in Baltimore's rotation and become the ace of the future.

April 5 - 11

We start the season off 2-3 with 2 wins vs the Yanks. Our offense is electric, and Matt Wieters is a stud. He had 3 HR and 9 RBI in 5 games, while Ty Wigginton had 4 HR in 5 games. The problem is our pitching is not very good and will have to be addressed.

Tommy Hanson only went 4.1 IP in his debut, giving up 9 H, 3 ER, 1 BB and 4 K. He threw 101 pitches in those 4.1 IP as the Rays fouled off every ball he threw.

We hope the offense can keep us in game while our young arms mature but don't be fooled, we're going to be a last place team more then likely.

There is no best thing in Baltimore since The Wire, for nothing can surpass the greatness of The Wire. :D

April 12 - 18

A 3-3 week as we score wins from TB, TEX and BOS, but drop two to TEX and one to Boston. Hanson has another tough start but he is just not getting the ball over the plate.

The big thing is our offense continues producing without Mora and Luke Scott doing much of anything. Some lineup changes are probably in order as Mora is below .100 and needs a day or two off.

April 19 - 25

We start off the week losing to Boston but we split the series with a 8-7 W behind 3 RBI from Weiters. We then take 2 of 3 from the White Sox and take two in a row from Texas to give us a 4 game win streak.

April 26 - 30

We close out April going 2-2, going 1-1 vs TEX and 1-1 vs ANA to end the week. Wieters goes into a tailspin the last two weeks dropping down below .250 and Mora is still under .200 but a big week from Luke Scott puts him at .250 and Adam Jones is at .290 after coming down to Earth after a torrid start.

As you can say we really struggle with consistency, but our hitters can rake. Sadly our pitchers really can't pitch which is going to cause a lot of heartache for this deal old manager.

As you can see this week the problem was nothing more then we cannot hit as well as we had been, which isn't too shocking considering how well we were hitting. It was an impossible pace to keep up but it's our only chance to win at this point.

Baltimore busy; Makes two trades

The Baltimore Orioles, floundering and needing to help their club made a few major shakeups today. The biggest move saw them send Melvin Mora and Rich Hill, who had been in AAA after an injury to San Diego for SP Chad Gaudin. Gaudin is expected to move into the #2 spot in the rotation.

The other move was more of a move to keep the roster balanced, as SP Brad Bergsen was sent to the Cards for 20 year old RP Richard Castillo. Castillo will move to AAA and potentially the Orioles pen in September.
