I first saw this not knowing what was going on and I got pissed. Until I saw the end. I love this guy, we need more owners like him.

There's a link of the video up at ESPN.com's NBA page.

Basically, he and a referee got into a shoving match and a whole "ruckus" broke out. He had to be held back, and then made another charge at the referee..

Turns out, it was all an April Fool's joke to get Dallas assistant coach Del Harris (who looks absolutely bewildered in the footage).

Classic stuff.

ROTFLMFAO .... That's the best yet ... after the CNN gag. But at least this was more open.

When I first saw it, I had the same initial reaction. I didn't pay attention to the commentary in the background but listened to the ESPN announcer. At the end when she said April Fools, I just had to smile. They got me good. :D

I was expecting a press conference to tell the refs how great they were doing this year, but this is good.

I really think he's the best owner in sports, and has an excellent sense of humor.

I loved Pat Croce when he was the Sixers owner. He was always doing off-the-wall stuff too.

He is just what basketball needed, imo. The guy loves his job, his team, and is just plain fun.

I don't think that stunt could have been done better by Penn and Teller.

Did you see the Mavs coach's face? :)

Classic...

I am sure David Stern is digging through the books looking for another asinine way to fine him.

I agree w/ the best owner in sports comment there.

yep, it's nice to see an owner who can have fun and be outrageous without losing the ability to poke fun at himself.

You also got to like the ref that participated in this "shoving match." That was very, very funny.

What did the real refs think of it? I know he was fake, so didn';t the coach realize it?
