Poll to come.

Basically, just trying to see how many people care about multiplayer enough that they can't go back to just singleplayer.

I voted #3 and #4. I'm pretty sure I would never play it unless it were web based.

dola: obviously there are a lot of single player people that would never visit FOFC.

dola: obviously there are a lot of single player people that would never visit FOFC.I believe this is the correct answer. I suspect that FOF is like every other PC game in that the great majority of customers never touch MP and rarely/never visit an online forum discussing the game. And even among *this* group, I suspect that of the potential buyers, there would be more "I would buy it if it didn't have MP" responses.

Yes if it means a better single player experience. It hasn't progressed nearly enough in years.

I wouldn't play it either way if it didn't significantly change the overall feel of the last 2. I'm sick of the bare-bones interface and lack of any personality in the game.

I voted for single player as that's my favored choice to play - right now I would just settle for a new quality text sim football game.

I'm sure that there's some very good multi-player leagues but the vast majority I have tried fizzled somewhat quickly.

Definitely, and if the advancements and new features were focused on multiplayer, I wouldn't buy it.

Very limited interest in another FOF in general, zero interest in multiplayer whatsoever.

The amount of focus I perceive on multiplayer reduces the chances I would purchase at this point, as it seems difficult at best to serve two different masters well.

does that mean that as a SP-only person who found this forum I am the exception? Cool! :D

Yes, i'm not that interested on multiplayer as it becomes soon less of a football sim and more of a "let's see who can find how to exploit the engine and keep the secret for himself".

I really miss a football sim deep and challenging enough to play SP while feeling immersed in my own universe through news, interaction with players/coaches/owners, etc.

Absolutely.

Any Solecismic football (and probably any sport) related product is a day one purchase for me.

I don't think there's any other kind of game/simulation where I'd say that. Everything else I usually wait for impressions/try the demo.

does that mean that as a SP-only person who found this forum I am the exception? Cool! :DWell, everyone at this forum was SP-only for about 5 years. ;)

I'd guess that everyone who plays FOF and frequents this forum probably fits into the category of "exception" when you look at the FOF customer base as a whole.

For completeness sake, there should be some "yes, but I prefer multiplayer"

Just another poll designer trying to rig the outcome.

Pretty much the only thing that will get me on board is a 2D or better display of the actual game.

I voted No. But I would love to see some upgrades to the game all the way around.

I care more about expansion than I do MP. But if the interface were say, as easy to use as OOTP (I know, how often does one cite that as the example of usability excellence) then I'd probably be more inclined to care.
