Yep, the really expensive vacuum cleaner. But they do pick up the dirt and nasty stuff. And now they purify the air. This thing is great for cleaning. The cost better guarantee it lasts my lifetime. But my wife is happy.

my wife once bought a kirby from a door to door salesperson...
I was home in 15 minutes, picked it up and took it to the salesperson who was still in the community.
One of the best fights Ive ever won with the wife.

If you really want a Rainbow or Kirby you can get much better deals on Ebay.

I've been so happy I haven't had to vacuum since I got a Roomba.

My wife is a clean freak and the demo really got her. Im experiencing a little buyer remorse, but am hoping that it actually does all they say it will do.
My wife beats the crap out of vacuums. In 10 years of marriage we have bought 7. Im hoping this think lasts forever.
I didnt even think of looking on ebay.

Roombas are awesome. I just push a button and let the little robot do all the hard work while I play Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook and try to beat Pumpy's ridiculously high scores.

Roombas are good - but there's no way you can tell me you don't have to vacuum ever again if you have one - unless you've got a LOT of dust bunnies piling up.

I think she's using it all wrong. It's not a lawn mower- you aren't supposed to ride it around the house ;)

The title of this thread is very misleading.

Yeah, I thought there would be more about unicorns, as well.

90% of my house is stained concrete floors, so I don't have to worry about carpet lint or anything like that.

Interesting - you're in a unique position for sure then.
I have been a big roomba supporter. We finally got rid of ours when it just wasn't adept enough at maneuvering around obstacles and getting in corners.

I'd be tempted to get a Roomba for the novelty value, but with a 10-month old and a Rottweiler in the house I don't think it would be long for the world.

That's funny, because I usually end up vacuuming the house while I let my Roomba play Bejeweled Blitz.
Hmmmm... coincidence?

The good news is that even if the rainbow doesn't last long, you'll get the pot of gold when it runs out.
Anyway, we just got a roomba a week or two ago -- the brushes seem to need cleaning a lot, but I'm hoping that once it gets the place sorta clean it won't have to be picking up as much dust and lint as it is now.

Dont say that it will die. :(
If I wake up sick again, Im blaming the Rainbow and it gets picked up and I say we didnt try and buy one to the credit company, someone is stealing my identity. I bet I get out of the contract.
