Anyone playing this? I played tonight and had some fun. Some of the questions are so easy but then they sometimes can be extra tough. I played about an hour during the normal play (only was part of the crowd). But then after that they had extended play which supposedly helps your chances of being part of the mob or one when they have normal play.

I was kicking ass in extended play through the first 20 questions was #3 out of 30,000 or so, then they started throwing questions out there that lots of people were getting wrong. Unsure where I ended since they only show the top 10 but I still had to be in the top one to two hundred. They even had a live host that breaks in every couple questions, and you can win Microsoft Points.

Not until the show gets out of beta, you can't.

Really... it acts like people are winning points now. I mean they are even advertising as "win prizes!".

They say several times a show that this is beta, no prizes being awarded.

SackAttack, Myself and two friends were playing (one of my friends was even in the mob for a game, and survived till the end).

It's fun, some of the answers are fucking hilarious.

Some of my favorite answers have included:

"That McLovin Kid"
"Because They Were Bored"

I think my son has played every night but one (in the extended play or whatever) for about the last ten days. In that time I've seen only two or three questions repeat, so that's pretty decent for depth IMO.

for someone without an xbox but intrigued here.

Is this a game you have to buy or an online game you play through xbox live without a separate purchase

Sack probably has better info since I just sort of jumped in and played. But I didn't haven't purchase anything to be in the Beta. I don't know if you will have to purchase the game via XBL once it's official.

Was there a DL? I was looking at it earlier and didn't see a DL, just scheduled times for the game.

It will be free throughout, but there will be some commercials & ads to pay for the cost of the game/prizes.

I discovered 1 vs. 100 over the weekend and played quite a bit...it's a good bit of fun for people who enjoy trivia (I used to play NTN quite a bit at the bars).

Am I correct in assuming that if you're in an Xbox Live party, you get grouped together within the game? If so, feel free to give me a shout if you see me on (Gamertag in sig).

New season started up this past thursday, its awesome and has achievements and great prizes. I'm enjoying it a ton!

I played a couple of rounds on Saturday night. I stunk up the first one but got a top 100 on the second. In addition to a handful of achievements, they also have levels.

The skip mechanic is different. Instead of using it to skip a question and preserve your streak -- which often wasn't worth doing mathematically -- it counts as a free correct answer. You lose out on the speed bonus, iirc, but get all the other available points.

The questions seemed a bit better this time, although there were 3 Justin Timberlake questions in the 2 rounds I played, so there is still room for improvement.

I played a little bit over the weekend as well. Definitely better this time around. Is it just me, or are the questions generally more difficult now? There seem to be fewer of the absolute no-brainers you used to see at the beginning of the round.

Yea, For me its really hard. I mean I can get the usual 6-14 in a row in the beginning, but then its hella hard and I might even go less then 50% the rest of the way.

These questions are to damn hard for me :) I like the 1st few questions after that it's just an educated guess most of the time. But it was fun...

Yesterday I discovered an additional benefit to this game...it's like a guided tour through some of the must fugly, god-awful, WTF avatars in existence. :D
