Hi,
I have a fullback with a 50 run inside and a 60 short yardage. If I put him in my RB short yardage slot ,(since none of my RB's are good at this), what will happen?
Will he perform well or be so degraded by playing out of position that he will perform poorly?
Thanks,
Merry

I moved my FB to the RB slot for several games one season due to injuries, and it didn't seem to degrade his performance at all. I guess it depends, a little bit, on whether the backup FB who will be blocking for him is any good (I had a pretty good backup).

I've played FBs as RBs plenty, and they don't typically do quite as well as you'd expect - 50 inside/60 short will be "ok", but if you have a 40/40 RB they'll probably do just as well.

I have had great success with Justin griffith in my FLFL league. I had him as my back up runningback for a season, and my backup TE filled in at fb when Griffith was called on to sub for Larry Johnson. It worked great as i got 500+ yards out of Griffith splitting time at RB, and he was a beast on third and short, but he has power inside and 3rd down bars in the 70's. Griffith was a 72 rated fb. i clicked switch position and took the percentage he would go down and figured out what he would translate into as a rb. I didn't make the move, but it was a way to see what he may preform like as a rb.

That's good to hear. The only time I tried a FB with very high Power as the 3rd down back (in preseason), he was so awful I never thought of trying it again. Maybe I will now. If I ever get one of those again, that is. Trying the switch position and see what I'm getting sounds like a good idea, too.

I finally did this with my FB in GMFL. He is rated 81/81. 93 power inside, 95 3rd down running, 74 hole recognition.
I checked what he would look like at RB. He only retains 60%. for his 3 year career he avgs 3.39 YPC, and 45.6 3D conversion.
He is my backup RB, also.
