View Full Version : Big Brother 11, High School Cliques

Ok, it's summer so I have to start my now normal Big Brother thread. This one is off to an interesting start after tonight's first episode though. 12 new people divided into four high school cliques; jocks, brains (nerds), populars, and outcasts. Then they threw in one extra based on which group won the HoH comp, the four waiting to find out if they made it in were from past seasons. Jocks won the endurance comp and Jesse from last season came into the house as the first HoH.

I think the clique thing will be interesting, mainly I want to see who ends up forming alliances outside of their cliques, especially since if a clique member is HoH then their other clique members can not be nominated for eviction. From what I read this last week from CBS, they will of course drop the clique connection at some point down the road like they dropped the couple thing last year after a while. Jocks and populars teaming up seems so natural that I am thinking it won't really happen down those lines.

As always, I have the live feeds and I will make sure I use spoiler tags, like right now.....

With the live feeds on those watching already know who is on the block for the first eviction. Lydia (blond tattoo woman) and Chima (black woman). Already lines in the sand, as Jesse seems to want Lydia out because he thinks she is the better player.

I didn't have time to watch last year, but I'm going to try to this year. I don't think Jesse will be around that long. Maybe a couple weeks. I could see all the athletes being early targets, especially that Tae Kwon Do girl.

My favorite to win is that smart scientist girl. She seems like she won't be as annoying as the other two brains and is somebody who could lay low.

I've picked her to win too Jas. She's shy, but pretty so the guys might keep her around more than some of the others. I was hoping for Brian to get into the game since he was derailed so early in his season. Instead we get the worse choice in Jesse.

I was not a fan of that HOH competition for getting such an important advantage. It clearly favored the more athletic-I would have liked a more balanced mental/athletic challenge for it. And I certainly wouldn't have wanted to revisit my wedgie days. *ouch* :)

Aside from the season with Boogie, Dr. Will, and Jeanine (was that her name?), I haven't been able to watch this show. It's on too often, and there seems to be too much going on outside of what they show. And I HATE being kept in the dark, but I don't have the time to keep up with it and follow what's going on. Plus, I can't stand the host.

This. There's way too much time needed for me to completely enjoy the show. I've watched/followed seasons in the past, but I need a lot of free time to do that. And I don't like Julie either.

Ah crap...I had no idea this started already. I was just talking with my wife the other day about when this would be on but forgot to look it up. I never really watch CBS, so havent seen any commercials for it.

I heard she's pregnant, so maybe she'll end up bed-ridden and they'll replace her.

Jessie!? Aw, the last thing the show needs is more of that half-naked retarded ape.

As far as following the show, recap sites like Morty's are gold. Ten minutes a couple times a day can keep you up to date as long as you don't mind spoilers.

One thing I should add as I am just now getting a chance to check in with Big Brother for the first time today. There is a new feature to the live feeds this year, something they should have done long before now. They have FlashBack, which allows you to play any hour of any day of the live feeds you want to.

They are not editing them either, they are a straight flashback to what was shown live. Example is one of the chicks took her panties off today in front of the camera when she changed into her bathing suit. I read it on a BB blog seeing if I missed anything today and thought I would check it out. Jordan is nicely trimmed down below.

This will be a great feature for fight sI may miss.

lol Ronnie. The guy is creepy the way he follows people around, but he does make things more entertaining with how he plays both sides. Now that he's HOH, I can see the power going to his head. This is all going to catch up with him at some point and he was stupid for even trying to win HOH when it was down to just him and Michele.

It will be interesting to see what he does, even though I am pretty sure he ends up going the way of the jocks (minus Jeff). He will probably do his best to play both sides as well though. I am pretty sure he will play the old game of denying his vote tied it instead of making it 6-4 to kick out Chima.

Yeah, I think Ronnie makes things entertaining...but I agree he's not quite as good at reading people.

Gotta say though...this first week was a lot more interesting than some in the past. Seems like more people flipping on each other than I ever recall this early on.

Read this on a blog, I find it sums up Ronnie fairly well right now...

I think Ronnie has a serious man-crush on Jessie, and he's loving the attention Jessie is paying him now.

I think Ronnie will have something like 45 different plans this week before he finally nominates someone. Can't really see him lasting much longer in this game with the way he's playing both sides. And so much for having "total control" over Michele's vote. :)

The show just went from bad to worse. The positive is that the last couple days on the live feeds have actually been some of the most entertaining I can remember watching on them. To bad (as Ronnie let viewers know) that in the end the whole house wasn't against him for that long even though they all act like it still.

Jessie being brought onto this show just continues to screw up what I think could have been a very good one. Master Jessie has too many people wanting to make him happy. Why though? The guy was kicked out in WEEK 4 of last season.

Thomkal

Yes Ronnie, you really should have gotten rid of Russell when you had the chance. Normally I'd be sympathetic towards a person being treated like Russell is treating him now, but he really did bring it on itself by trying to be this master strategist and playing one against other. Who would have guessed it'd be Laura who saw through it all? Too bad she told several people in the kitchen about it, she should have just kept her mouth closed until he wasn't HoH anymore.

Not happy Jesse won HoH again as he shouldn't be back in the game in the first place.

I think that Jesse winning HOH was probably as good as Ronnie could choose from outside of having someone in his own clique win him immunity. Jesse is going to put Ronnie up for sure to avoid a house rebellion, but I do think that he'll use Ronnie's weakened position to blindside someone who just assumes that the whole house is voting for Ronnie. There's going to be an over-confident idiot on their way out of the house next Thursday.

Jas_lov
07-24-2009, 07:25 AM
I also don't think Ronnie will go. Ronnie got tangled in a web of lies, but he was always loyal to Jessie. He has some type of man crush on Jessie. I would guess either Michele or Casey will go. With the cliques still intact, Jessie has the extra protection of his alliance, Ronnie, and it seems he has something with Lydia for the next week.

Sad to the the slutty-looking girl leave.

Extra sad to see fuckin' Jessie in charge again.

I want to go exploring on Lydia's body for more tattoos, piercings and other points of interest. Interesting contrast of women this season.

Chima is beyond fugly. She really looks bad when she wears that heavy lipstick. Makeup isn't *that* hard to figure out, is it? If you have a facial feature that is freakishly large, you don't want to make it stand out even more. I guess she might get points for the DSL but not from me.

Natalie and Jordan are hot.

Michele seems genuinely nice. I'd date her.

Anyone else not unhappy that Laura is gone. Perhaps she's a victim of HDTV, but she had a beastly dark moustache shadow that could have been very embarrassing the longer she stayed in the house. I'm glad it didn't get to that point for her sake.

Cringer
07-24-2009, 10:03 AM
As far as eye candy, Jordan is better eye candy because she has shown her boobs a couple times and her "cookie" once. She is not bright, but can be entertaining on the feeds. The reason I don't like seeing Laura go is because the group I don't like is winning, other then that I won't miss her much. It's not that I like the one side that much, I just want to see Jessie/Natalie/Ronnie lose and be sent home.

I agree Casey is probably gone, perhaps Michele.

Natalie's eviction vote downfall spoiler....

Some people, especially Jordan, was brushing it off some and didn't care. Natalie pushed the topic last night though (which could have been dangerous for her). Of course now it seems people are thinking it was the punching bag of the house, the dog people love to kick for no reason..... Michele. She is the anti-floater. She has done nothing to no one at any point, yet everyone seems to have no trust of her. It's funny and sad at the same time.

It may have been unfair that America voted on the CDT power, but tomorrow's episode should be entertaining tomorrow if Jeff uses the CDT power and puts Natalie and Jessie on the block just before the eviction.

Thomkal
08-13-2009, 06:57 AM
Yeah I'm hoping that's what happens, Chima's reaction may well be pricelsss...and potentially disrupting so CBS is not showing the eviction live this week, which kinda sucks. I don't think the CDT power is unfair, America's choice votes have been around for several games now and the game tagline is "expect the unexpected".

SteveMax58
08-13-2009, 09:41 AM
Would have been more entertaining if Kevin would have used the POV on Lydia and Jeff or Jordan were on the block. Then you'd KNOW Jeff will used the CDT.

Still...I think he might use it (if he's smart) and put up Jessie/Natalie and at least get one of them out of the way.

Thomkal kind of mentioned it, but the live show tonight is not exactly live. It seems 99% certain now that they are taping it early, with a live audience (larger then normal from what I read). The live feeds will be off longer then ever, going off in an hour or two and not coming back on until tonight. Chima has made threats all week, and it really has been non-stop, that she will go nuts if her HoH is screwed over. Of course she also makes comments every day about hitting people in the house with chairs and hasn't done that. Also sounds like last night they were warned by production not to do certain things on the live show today.

What is great is it actually blends in well with the "Expect the unexpected" line for the show. The feeds this morning have the HGs all confused as to what is going on, getting their earliest ever wake up call at 6:45 AM. If anything, it's a good way to screw with them.

I hope he puts up Jessie and Natalie and I really hope Jessie gets the boot. Watch him whine again about getting screwed over by America. I wouldn't mind seeing Natalie leave either, as she is an arrogant little bitch.

I don't really like any of these people. How cool would it be if they did an America's Vote to cut the prize fund in half?

well that wasn't very exciting there though it looked like Chima was getting riled up at the end there wanting back in the House and to talk to the producers. For those who get the live feeds or showtime, let us know if anything happens from this.

Glad Jeff used it, and that Jessie is gone. Equally glad Chima didn't win the HOH. It will be interesting to see who Michele nominates for eviction. I'm guessing Russell and Natalie. And in case you missed it at the end there, it will be a double eviction next week so Jesse will soon have a lot of company in the jury house.

Missed the show but my wife called to let me know a couple things. Been reading up on the live feeds though I haven't been able to turn them on yet since I haven't booted into Windows yet. Anyways, Lydia is crying over Jessie leaving, which is pathetic. The good news is that once she gets out she will see all the crap he said about her and know how pathetic she is. Chima and natalie have made their attempt to get Michelle to put up Russell.....no idea if it has any effect on her or not though. No one has any idea. Anyways, it is Lydia, Natalie, and Chima trying to make Jessie sound like an angel.

Chima is still bitching though. Threatening to lose the have-nots comp and then eat and take hot showers so she will automatically be nominated... Oh wow, big threat against CBS there Chima, I am sure they would hate that.

Best quote of the night that I hope makes the TV show but probably won't....

"You think we want her out? I bet the people behind the walls (production crew) want her out even more." Jeff about Chima

Last night on the live feeds Chima left the show. It is not clear if she choose to leave the show, or if she was kicked off as she was causing numerous problems.

9:50 PM - The PoV competition is set up for practice. Kevin goes to wake Chima to come out and give it a try since she’s nominated. Chima gets up without her microphone and goes out.
9:55 PM - Big Brother tells Chima to put on her mic. She refuses.
10:00 PM - Kevin kindly goes and gets Chima’s mic for her. Natalie runs it to Chima who immediately throws it in the hot tub. Natalie goes to fish it out of the <input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden">hot tub and tells Chima that maybe she won’t have to practice afterall (hah!).
11:00 PM - Big Brother tells Chima to replace her mic. She refuses so Kevin gets it for her, again. Chima tells production to, um, put something in their mouths and create a vaccum…
11:15 PM - Big Brother has to ask Chima again to put back on her mic.
2:45 AM - Live Feeds (http://bigbrothernetwork.com/go/pl_superpass_trial.php) are back and Chima is missing. Jeff says, “and then there were seven.”Then the producer held a house meeting.Mike: Hey Guys, can you all come into the Livingroom please? We need to have a <input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden">house meeting.
…. … they speak …. ….
AG [Allison Grodner]: You will be paying for the mic pack Chima, this will come out your stipend.
Chima: You know what? ***** this *****. I’m outta here. love you, nat–you too Lydia. *throws something* (her mic?)
She presses the diary room button, it doesn’t go green, she tries to pull the door open (EVERYONE is in the living room sitting down btw) and Chima says "don’t ***** with me, open this damn door. NOW!"
Then Nat and Lydia want to leave with her, but <input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden">production asks them to remain a moment..
AG: Everyone, PLEASE calm down!
Lydia gets up and tries to open the DR door, bangs on it, crying.
Chima was SCREAMING at AG! The entire control room was told to record everything in case something happened. Security may have been there too.

Where did you get the details of the second half of that post from? I have only been checking one blog I have come to enjoy and find done well, but they don't have that part. That sounds like (it is supposed to be) some inside info because that didn't make the live feed.

So...the fall out from the above spoiler has taken place....and continues to fall out more. I don't think a Sunday show has ever sounded so interesting to me.

CBS put out a press release, saying Chima was kicked out and they would go into detail on an upcoming show. The problem with this is from comments made by house guests....and a spoiler above....she pretty much quit the show and wasn't kicked out. Though I would guess there is a pretty fine line in there and CBS may have wanted her out by the time it was all said and done.

CBS put out a press release saying they kicked her out for rule violations and would address it on an upcoming show. Not sure if that is 100% truth, but ok.

New HoH comp was done today. Jordan won HoH, while Lydia won the unitard all week. She hasn't put it on last I have seen. Since then the feeds have blown up with Lydia going back to personal attacks, dumping out Michele's champagne and beer, falling back on the pathetic "your crazy, your insane" insults to get into it with her. Jeff blew his top after a bit and it was pretty funny. Lydia is saying she wants to leave, so she will do all this stuff until they vote her out. Basically she is a big quitter like Chima.

At one point they are ripping on Jeff for using the power to get Jessie out. Really? They are going to complain about it? That side of the house went from total control to complete implosion in two days because of it. They can hardly think straight. Jeff made one of the best moves I have seen.

The best thing is Lydia probably won't get her wish to leave the house. Natalie seems to be Jordans target, which is good because the way she insists she has never done anything wrong, and never lies has made her one of the most annoying people I have ever seen on this show. She literally has said one thing and turned around and done the opposite 2 mintues later about 5 times in the last couple of hours, then she attacks Michele with name calling because Michele has lied in the game. Natalie wins PoV though and Lydia will be gone I am sure.

Anyways, crazy week.

I have the live feeds. You can watch everyone 24/7 with no editing so you hear everything before it is on air (except the evictions which are live for the most part). The feeds are only off at certain times (the comps and once in a while for whatever reasons, but on 90% of the time).

Since I follow on the feeds, I keep up with things on a blog. There are a bunch of sites out there that actually log and report what is going on 24 hours a day. My above post and what I have seen today is only a small part of what makes this show 100x better by having the live feeds.

edit: only the Thursday shows are live, Sunday and Tuesday shows are recorded over the days before. The nominations actually take place on Fridays in real life, TV shows it Sunday. PoV comp usually happens on Sat, with the PoV ceremony happening on Mondays, those air on the Tuesday show.

Don't understand why Lydia is so upset. Jessie nominated her and voted her to be evicted over Ronnie. She's delusional and it's unbelievably stupid to just give up. Chima and Lydia likely would have stayed this week if Natalie hadn't won POV. If Chima, Lydia, or Kevin had won the next HOH then the power can shift. Russell and Jeff are eventually going to see each other as their biggest obstacle to the end, it's just a matter of who jumps on the opportunity to get the other out first.

I think they gave him a great edit this year to make him likable. The stuff I read about what he did which was only seen on the live feeds was pretty non-flattering. (Hitting on women, or very rough play to the point of leaving big bruises... leading on Lydia for sexual favors while having absolutely no loyalty to her or desire to keep her in the house, etc).

As for last night's episode.. I wasn't a huge Kevin fan until last night. He was pretty funny in his comments, they really made the episode for me. :)

+1 on Kevin. He has been pretty invisible to date but I was laughing my ass off when the girls were crying and he was rolling his eyes.

Also +1 that Jessie is a douchebag that they made look better in the editing process.

And Chima is the most disgraceful poor loser in tv history. Poor baby got the tables turned on her. Truly a pathetic display from a pathetic person.

I will be rather upset if Natalie wins the whole thing. I really don't care for her and the game she's played. But the ways things are shaping up, it's hard to come up with a scenerio where she doesn't win...

I guess I'll have to dust off the old video camera and make another application tape here soon.......

Say what you will about Natalie (I hate her as well) but she is a masterful liar. When Jessie was there she was spinning lies all the time even though she never won anything, and that helped her side. Then her lies helped screw up Jeff and Jordan when they had power for weeks at a time and they made the big mistake of getting rid of Russell instead of her in part because of that. She lied and would spin everything, and in the end was always able to make Michelle and Russell look like the giant liars.

Jeff blew this going after Russell. I wanted Jeff to win at one point, but I really hope Russell has been laughing at Jeff for the last couple of weeks in the jury house. Jeff blew it, big time. One of the bigger screw ups I have seen on Big Brother. He and Jordan just believed too many people, but not the ones who could help them the most until it was too late.

Thomkal
09-10-2009, 11:18 AM
I agree Cringer. Credit Natalie and Kevin for getting Jeff to believe them over Michele and Russell. But that was a horrible lie with what she tried to pull with Pandora's Box. Even Jordan saw through that soon enough. I just can't believe Jeff would trust those two over Michele and Russell after the uproar from that side of the house after he used the Coup D'Etat power. But I fault Michele for not (at least what we've seen on the regular shows) pushing Jeff to see that. The time to "backstab" Ruseell if he was going to do that, was after he got rid of one of Natalie/Kevin so they could not team up against him and Jordan. He may not have made it to the Final 2 anyway, but he really blew his chances there. And he shouldn't have bad mouthed Kevin like that when he did the same thing to Russell the week before.

I can't stand Natalie, but really can't see Jordan winning over either Kevin or her especially when she totally can't hold her own on challenges. Man she was awful in that Veto challenge last time out. Natalie wins out over Kevin based on who's in the jury house.

I think Kevin would beat Jordan by at least 5-2, Natalie against Jordan might be closer- 4-3 maybe. I could see Jordan getting Jeff and Michele's votes and then it'll be interesting to see if they make vote #7 an America's vote. If they do, Jordan would get it for sure. Chima's not coming back so they need some form of tiebreaker. Kevin vs. Natalie would be interesting and it would probably be pretty close as well.

SteveMax58
09-10-2009, 12:09 PM
I agree...Kevin & Natalie would be close. Jordan and anybody will almost definitely be the anybody.

I agree with the earlier points made about Jeff's screwup. Even at the time, I was telling my wife how he is almost definitely going home the next week after booting Russell. He PO'd Michelle, Kevin/Natalie were NOT his allies (and even if they were true to their word initially, there were only 3 choices for nominations...can't EVER expect somebody to put up their ally if YOU have the only vote).

After Russ/Jeff's evictions the show has kinda bored me. I'll probably watch tonight just because I've commited enough time to it already, but I wont be watching intently, for sure.

That's how I felt with this last episode too. I wanted to stop watching after Jeff left but I had already committed to 20+ episodes so now I have to finish.

I hope Natalie loses out. I thought she was kinda cute when the show started but man, she got uglier the more I heard her speak. She is a nasty little skank that will no doubt feel she was cheated when she comes up short at the end.

Kevin is funny and deserves the win more than the other two girls. Guessing he gets enough jury votes no matter who he stands against in the finale.

Jordan is a waitress, and I have no doubt it is the perfect job for her. The highlight of the season for me was watching Jordan kick Natalie's ass in part 2 of the final HOH. For a girl that had been almost worthless in every competition, she picked the right time to rise to the occasion. I hope it nets her the 50k second place prize.

I think Jeff will win the 50K fan favorite, the US will vote for Jordan for the 1/3 of the total vote.... so I think Jordan will win it all to be honest. Especially if she goes up against NAtalie. The whole jury house knows she lied the whole time about her age and that will piss some folks off.

Yeah, I agree that Jordan would win against Natalie. I think Kevin would probably beat Jordan, but I'm not sure. That might depend on who wins the final 2 competition. If Kevin wins and take Jordan over Nat, I think it could piss off Nat and cost him the $500,000.

Jordan will definitely win America's vote if she makes it to the final 2.

Based on game play, I don't think Jordan would get more than 1-2 votes against either Kevin or Natalie. She rode Jeff's coattails until he was gone and then was kept around because she wasn't a threat.

Guessing Casey gets the fan favorite vote.

One of the swing votes will be Michele. If Michele votes Jordan no matter who she's up against, that'll give her 3 votes with Jeff and America. This would mean Kevin or Natalie would need to sweep the remaining four to win which is very possible. If Kevin screws over Natalie and votes her out, maybe she gives Jordan the 4-3 win out of spite.

I think this is the only way Jordan beats anybody...but Natalie might be pissy enough to vote this way. Especially since it would be Kevin basically saying "you dont even deserve $50k" if he did that.

I think it is a huge assumption that America's Vote would favor Jordan, and Jeff might vote game play over friendship.

I think Jordan is a lock for America's vote. It's basically just a personality contest. Jordan is sweet and down to earth, Natalie is cocky and abrasive at times, and there's nothing special about Kevin. Jeff won the CDT so I think the Jeff/Jordan showmance went over well. Kevin/Natalie were aligned with Jessie who America doesn't like.

I'd like to see Jeff vote for gameplay, but I doubt it. I could see Michele voting for gameplay though.

well color me surprised. I thought Natalie would win 4-3, but Lydia actually remembered she hated Natalie at the end there and Jesse's vote was a complete shocker. Did anybody see/hear who Michele and Kevin voted for? I'm assuming Michele voted for Jordan and Kevin for Natalie. Jordan got credit for basically doing nothing until the very end of the season as a strategy where like her or not Natalie did have a strategy/play the game. I'm glad she won cause I can't stand Natalie, but I wasn't expecting it.

Michele voted for Jordan, Kevin for Natalie. It was a little surprising Jessie voted for Jordan but Natalie was horrible on her jury answers. She should have owned up to and played up her lies more instead of saying she was honest to her allies.

I liked not knowing who is in the finals until the finale like Survivor does it, but the jury Q&A is much better edited. That way they aren't limited what they can ask and they would actually have time for follow up questions. Kevin only got to ask 1 person a question, they should be able to ask whatever they want to whoever they want since it's a pretty big decision.

Glad to see Jordan win over Nat.

Natalie strategized more during the game then Jordan, I don't really think Nat played any better then Jordan truthfully. They both aligned with a strong player and basically road coattails the entire game. Natalie may have told more lies, but aside from telling people she was 18, I don't see how any of her lies benefited her. The lie to get Russell out was much more Kevin's doing then Natalie's. What Jordan was better at then Natalie was winning competitions (both physical and mental), avoiding confrontation, and not really getting on anyone's bad side. Plus, she's a lot more likable person.

That being said, I think Kevin, Jessie, Jeff, and Michelle all probably played better games then Jordan and Nat. Russell and Lydia not so much though.

I was surprised but it turned out Jordan did the smart thing taking Natalie. I wonder if she would have beaten Kevin. Bummer that Nasty Nat gets 50k second prize.

When Russ said he was voting for the person that played the best game from start to finish, I was sure he voted for Natalie.

Any ideas who comes back when they do an All-Stars BB?

I can't decide if I'm happier that Jordan won, or that Natalie didn't win. Either way, I'm pleased. Just a week ago, I figured it was a lock that Natalie would win, with only Kevin having an outside shot to pull an upset. Once Jordon lost the first part of the final HoH competition, I pretty much wrote her off. She did a great job getting herself into the position to win over the final few days.

Hopefully next year this board will be talking about my game play on finale night...

Glad to see Jordan win as well. I actually thought she had a shot at first, then realized that she had Jeff, Amerca's vote, and Lydia all but in the bag...she only needed Michelle or Russ to help tip the scale. Russ is a BB purist-type, so he was voting Nat but I figured Michelle would lean towards Jordan just because she would be more disgusted giving Nat $500k.

Totally shocked at Jessie's vote, but I will say that I bet that was more personal than anything. He's shallow enough to not vote for her just because she is getting engaged and he wouldn't want to appear to have been played by her...yeah, I bet he's that vain.

I think Nat probably played a slightly better game than Jordan but not by much. She definitely rubbed people the wrong way with her strangely blunt attitude (i.e. she's one of those people who will say "let me say this to your face...I am hurt by that"...WTF is that?).

Overall, ended better than I expected...but I really prefer more on the jury member discussions and unveiling things from the non-jury ex-house guests. That was entertaining but they never give enough time to that part.

Also goes to show that when you do your final "goodbye" on the video thing to people who will be on the jury, be nice. Those people come back and vote for the winner. I think Natalie trash talked every one of those people on the way out.

Yeah she did. Didn't she trash talk to Lydia when she asked a question? I was telling Ant that she's trying to win votes, not lose them.

Jordan was clutch, she won when she had to. So much for Jordan not counting eh Natalie? Heh heh heh.

I'm guessing Jeff and maybe Ronnie get invites due to popularity(Jeff) and entertainment value(Ronnie). Likely Jesse as well for similar reasons as Ronnie. Natalie has an outside shot but doubtful due to being a secondary character type and not overly competitive.
