Couple things:

A: I want to find the sick fuck that made that call and have them sent into Bagdhad, on their own. bastards.

B: the Military does not hand deliver these messages in most cases any more. generally there will be a phone contact asking them to meet with someone at a designated place and time, where all the details will be given out. In some cases (most in the navy and marines) there is a volunteer, egenrally someone related to a member of the unit, who handles collecting this information and making contact with the familes.

this is just infuriating though. SIck Sick son of a bitch....

I saw a Red Cross press release yesterday come across the wire. Apparently some also are calling saying they are from the Red Cross and telling families their loved one was MIA.

Red Cross is warning that the military contacts families in person, face to face, in all cases when someone is KIA, MIA or taken POW.

Trouble is, that idiot (I live in Phoenix, it was an even bigger story here) got caught and got fired for the sick s**t that he did to Kile's widow.

Makes one real proud to be an American. I don't give a rat's a** what side of the war one falls on (I vacillate between ambivalent/against the war on any given day, frankly), this is just a totally reprehensible thing to do to a family that was probably worried about their son enough before this stunt.
