Congratulations to Sammy Sosa! I thought he was a fluke (in terms of power) a few years ago, glad I was wrong.

I'm sure Cubbie fans are grinning tonight. ;)

And to think that our President traded this guy away.

Sullivan of the Reds.

It was a great game actually. Things started off bad as we were losing 7-0 at one point in the game but we slowly started to chip away at the lead. Eventually we tied it in the top of the 8th at 9 but the Reds ended up taking the game at 10-9.

As for Sammy, I'm extremely happy for him. Despite him being on the Cubs, he's always been optimistic and someone who anyone could see was genuinely happy.

Couldn't happen to a better guy.

BTW- I still don't understand what the obsession with putting estes in the rotation is. So he's left-handed, great, he's still washed up. I would love to see what young Juan Cruz could do given another chance at the rotation.

I'm just glad he didn't hit it off the Mets.

I'm glad I was bored enough to watch the stinkin Mets game so I got to see it when they cut into it to show Sammy's at bats :)

And, the cubs are going to the playoffs this year. =D

I was saying the same thing last night. The guy is tearing it up in the pen now. He will be starting sometime in the future though.

Sammy and Bonds both need to be tested for the Juice and if they pass, then maybe their home runs will mean something.

Don't we have enough other obvious reasons for home runs?

I really do wish that the majors would have mandatory drug testing, but really, I seriously, seriously doubt either are on steroids :P However, as long as the majors won't drug test everyone, there will always be people out there who ignore the juiced balls, the smaller ballparks, and the diluted pitching due to excess expansion, and say OMG HE HIT 50 HOME RUNS HES ON ROIDS.

Definitly juiced balls. I think baseball tried to get back some fans after the 'strike'. What better way than to chase the homerun record? ...then beat it.
