Since Madden Franchise is so well received and it appears NCAA imports actually work decently enough, I am going to be doing an NCAA and Madden dynasty coinciding with one another. In NCAA I will handle the recruiting for the Duke Blue Devils. I might even play a game or two with them every year to see the players, but basically I want to get a team I can build and try to make into a power while passing guys on into Madden.
As far as Madden goes I shall be using the Detroit Lions. I'll expand more on that in a thread for the Madden dynasty however.

2009 Duke Blue Devil Roster/Depth Chart
Quarterback
1. Sr Thaddeus Lewis (85 OVR)
2. RS Fr Sean Renfree (80 OVR)
3. Fr Mike Cappeto (68 OVR)
Red Shirt: Fr Sean Schroder (75 OVR)
Analysis: We have a nice 1-2 with Lewis and Renfree. Renfree has 82 SP and can come in to run some option offense, but Lewis is the main signal caller. Nothing flashy, just dependable. Freshman Sean Schroder has a future but the red shirt was a must. We need to still recruit a solid QB for competition sake, let alone depth.
Halfback
1. RS Sr Requan Boyette (85)
2. So Jay Hollingsworth (79)
3. Fr Desmond Scott (78)
4. Rs FR Patrick Krunwue (76)
Analysis:I wish I could redshirt Scott, but it isn't going to happen. He starts the year third on the depth chart but will eventually be the #2, maybe even during the WKU game, we'll see. Boyette is entrenched at starter and if he's healthy should be a 1000 yard back. We must add 1-2 more HB though in recruiting.
Fullback
1. So Garrett Utt (64)
Analysis:Utt isn't very good. He'll be okay as a blocker, but he can't ever touch the ball or else we're doomed to turn it over. An upgrade is a priority though just a body at all would be nice to back him up with.
Wide Receiver
1. So Johnny Williams (82)
2. So Donovan Varner (80)
3. Jr Austin Kelly (78)
4. Rs Jr Sheldon Bell (78)
5. Rs So Josh Trezvant (76)
6. Rs So Matt Pridemore (74)
Red Shirt: Fr Tyree Watkins (74), Conner Vernon (74), Corey Gattis (73)
Analysis:We have a lot of good, solid young players here lead by Johnny Williams. The problem is we don't have but one WR over 6'2 (Bell) which is a concern. We'll go after one or two WR if they're tall and have talent, but I won't waste a scholly here just because.
Tight End
1. Rs Jr Brett Huffman (74)
2. Rs Jr Brandon King (71)
3. Rs Fr Kenny Anunkie (65)
Red Shirt: Fr Ryan Hall (70)
Analysis: Once again, we need some help here. Huffman and King are good blockers but not great in the pass game. Ryan Hall should be good eventually but he is a project. We'll still go after a TE for depth but a real game breaker is on the want list.
Offensive Line
LT - Rs So Kyle Hill (78), Rs So Chris Shannon (75)
LG - Sr Jarrod Holt (84), Rs Jr Robert Drum (74)
C - Jr Bryan Morgan (79), Rs Jr Jeffrey Cowart (73)
RG - Rs Fr Jackson Anderson (71), Rs Fr Brian Moore (67), Rs Jr Brandon Harper (64)
RT - Rs Jr Pontus Bondeson (75), Rs Jr Mitchell Lederman (70)
Red Shirt: RT Dave Harding (68)
Analysis: Our OL is meh. It's decent enough to give us an edge vs bad teams but it won't do much vs teams like VT and GT. The good news is this OL will grow together and be stronger next year, but the problem is there is no depth. Adding 3-4 OL is a must in this class. For sure 1 OT, 1 OG and 1 C. Anything else is a plus.
Defensive Line
LE: Rs Jr Wes Oglesby (73), Rs Jr Patrick Egboh (73), Rs Jr Jeremy Ringfield (62)
DT: Rs Sr Vince Oghobaase (93), Fr John Drew (79), Rs So Charlie Hatcher (71), Rs Sr Kinney Rucker (58)
RE: Rs Sr Ayagna Okpokowuruk (81), Rs So Eriks Reks (64), Rs So Sam Poggi (60)
Red Shirt: Fr Justin Foxx (73)
Analysis: Our DL is for sure a strength, mainly because our best player and one of the Nation's top DT's, Vince Oghobaase anchors the unit. True Frosh John Drew should learn a lot playing next to him before becoming the leader of the DL next year. Besides those two, Okpokowuruk is a solid DE, and Oglesby and Egboh are serviceable. We need some DL depth this year in recruiting. At least two guys, preferably 3.
Linebackers
LOLB: Rs Jr Abraham Kromah (73), Rs Jr Andrew Holoman (67), Fr Kevin Rojas (60)
MLB: Sr Vincent Rey (73), Fr Austin Gamble (69), Jr Adam Banks (64)
ROLB: Jr Damian Thornton (73), Fr August Campbell (64), Jr Michael Tooley (63)
Analysis: Not exactly a group that instills fear in opposing teams. We have to add quality backers, though most of these guys will be back. More so a need because there is no talent. We'll take what we can get.
Secondary
CB: Sr Leon Wright (75), Rs Jr Chris Rwabukamba (73), So Lee Butler (73), Rs So Colin Jones (70), Rs Fr Randez James (68)
FS: Sr Catron Gainey (83), So Jeffrey Faris (62)
SS: So Matt Daniels (70), Rs Fr Jordon Byas (65), Fr Anthony Young-Wiseman (63)
Red Shirt: Fr Taylor Sowell (71), Fr Zach Greene (69)
Analysis: Obviously some need here. Sowell and Greene will be solid CB's in a few seasons but we need playmakers. We'll look for some diamond in the roughs here and see what shakes out. Upgrades at FS and SS are musts though.
Special Teams
K: Jr Nick Maggio (80)
P: Rs Jr Kevin Jones (86)
Analysis: If the right K or P is interested we'll go for them, otherwise we'll be fine for another season with these two.

Week 1: Duke (0-0) vs Western Kentucky (0-0)
Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - WKU (D)
DEFENSE: Duke (C) - WKU (D+)
OVERALL: Duke (C+) - WKU (D+)
Analysis: Should be a game we handle with relative ease. WKU isn't that good and while we don't have that much talent, the talent we do have is far superior then the talent WKU has.
Duke 38 - WKU - 10
The run game overcomes a 5 INT game from Thaddeus Lewis, who was only 12 for 31 with no TD and the aforementioned 5 INT. Thankfully Requan Boyette was on point with 26 carries for 170 yards and 3 TD. Sophmore WR Johnny Williams was our only good WR today with 7 catches for 114 yards.
Defensively, MLB Vincent Rey had 6 tackles, 4 TFL and 2 sacks and ROLB Damian Thornton took back a fumble 54 yards for a TD.
About what I expected, sans the horrible QB play from Lewis.

Week 1 Recruiting Update
We offer schollies to a lot of 2* guys with interest. We just need bodies but that doesn't stop us from going after some big fish early with the hope of reeling them by applying a full court press. We need some elite talent and we hope some smart kid out there loves the idea of a great school and early PT.

Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - Army (D)
DEFENSE: Duke (C) - Army (D)
OVERALL: Duke (C+) - Army (D)
Analysis: Another game that should end in an easy Duke victory. Army just doesn't have the talent to keep up with our athletes. Army is coming off a 37-34 OT loss to EMU. If they can't beat EMU I cannot see them beating us.
Duke 31 - Army 28
Yeesh. Lewis was 18-39 for 221 yards with a TD and an INT, but that was about all we could do in the air. Meanwhile Army did a number on our run game, holding us to just over 100 yards, but Boyette would score once and Hollingsworth would punch in 2, including the game winning TD from 3 yards out with just 4 seconds left!
Defensively Vincent Rey had 7 tackles and 3 TFL, and Damian Thornton added 7 tackles of his own and a TFL, but the big problem was Army WR Hunter, who had an astounding 15 catches for 255 yards and 4 TD, including 2 TD in the 4th to momentarily give Army the lead.
We're going to get bombed next week in Kansas vs Todd Reesing.

Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - Kansas (B+)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - Kansas (B-)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - Kansas (B)
Analysis: This should be ugly. Kansas has put 94 total points through two games, and though it isn't vs top talent, they have a great QB - WR combo in Reesing - Briscoe. This is probably going to be very, very ugly unless we can show we can run the ball with authority and control the clock.
Kansas 28 - Duke 17
We actually lead 17-14 at the half, but Reesing would throw two TD's in the second half and the KU defense would shut us down totally to preserve them the 28-17 win.
Thaddeus Lewis improved going 19-37 for 303 yards with 2 TD and 2 INT, his best game of the year by far. Hollingsworth, playing for Boyette who must've been hurt, runs 23 times for 73 yars. Varner and Huffman have huge days catching the ball. Varner had 7 for 115 and a score, while Huffman had 6 for 148.
Defensively, Rey had 10 tackles. Thornton added 8 and a sack, and Hatcher had 6, plus 2 TFL and a sack.
Meanwhile Boyette isn't on the injury report so he musta went down at the beginning of the game with a minor injury.

Week 4: Duke (2-1) vs Syracuse (0-3)
Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - Syarcuse (C-)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - Syracuse (C-)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - Syracuse (C-)
Analysis Syracuse has played a tough schedule already, with two ranked teams on it, Minnesota and PSU, plus a 3-0 Northwestern team. We have more talent but they are not a push over. I still think we ought to win but it'll be close.
Duke 30 - Syracuse 27
As I expected, it was a war. We were deadlocked at 27 going into the 4th when we managed to put a nice drive together and drain a lot of clock before Maggio hit a 42 yard FG with 21 seconds left to give us the 30-27 win.
Lewis was 20/39 for 295 yards with 2 TD - 2 INT. Meanwhile our run game scuffled with Boyette getting injured early again. Hollingsworth lead our team with 36 yards on 11 carries. Lewis did chip in a rushing TD though.
Varner had another big game with 6 grabs for 126 yards and a TD, while Huffman also had a TD grab.
Defensively Okpokowuruk had a huge game with 10 tackles, 4 TFL and 2 sacks. Oglesby had 9 tackles, 2 TFL and a sack, Oghobaase had 7 tackles and 1 TFL. A nice effort from the DL.
Oof - bad news checking the injury report after the game. Thaddeus Lewis has a sprained back and will be out for 12 weeks. This is not going to be good at all.

OFFENSE: Duke (C) - VT (B)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - VT (A)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - VT (B+)
Analysis: I don't care that VT is 1-3 and this is at home. We are not going to win this game. VT is not scoring at all but their defense is playing well. We're banged up and just don't have the tools to get it done.
Va Tech 38 - Duke 9
All you need to know is we had 197 yards of total offense. Renfree, our new QB with Lewis out, was 9 of 20 for 69 yards. Hollingsworth had 64 yards on the ground but fumbled twice. With him playing so much since Boyette is banged up, True Frosh Desmond Scott will now be our #2 back.
Our DL did well again, stat wise anyway, but Tyrod Taylor threw for 341 yards and 5 TD so the pressure was not there.
Back to the drawing board I suppose.

OFFENSE: Duke (C) - NC State (B)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - NC State (B)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - NC State (B)
Analysis: This is a game I know we can win but we have to play limited turnover ball which is still a problem for us. NC State is 6th in the Nation in rushing, but on D that's our strength. If our DL can make plays and our offense can chew up clock and score when we need it, we'll be okay.
Duke 10 - NC State 0
It was a game that set offense back to the stone ages, as Duke and NC State combined for under 400 yards of total offense, but Duke scored when they needed it to pitch a shutout on the road!
Renfree was 10/29 for 82 yards and Boyette had just 72 yards on 28 carries, but he scored once to make the difference.
Damian Thornton was the team MVP with 12 tackles (7 TFL) and 3 sacks, while Ogohobaase was a menace with 7 tackles (2 TFL).
It was ugly as hell but it was a crucial win!

Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - Maryland (B)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - Maryland (B)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - Maryland (B)
Analysis: Maryland is playing well but their biggest win is vs an unranked Clemson team. Their only team vs a ranked team this year was vs #25 Rutgers and they lost 30-6. We can win but it'll take another all around good effort.
Maryland 17 - Duke 16
We had a chance to tie the game late but failed on the 2PC and we couldn't get another chance. A shame as we battled hard but to no avail.
Renfree finally had a good game, with 217 yards and 2 TD while Boyette had a measly 58 yards on 19 carries. We need a better balance but it is what it is right now.
Oghobaase was a monster on D with 13 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack from his DT position. Thornton also added 8 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack as he continues to play well.
That said we lose a tough one and face a must win next week vs UVA if we want any chance of bowling.

Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - UVA (B-)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - UVA (B)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - UVA (B)
Analysis: UVA is very beatable but we have to work for it. We're playing far better but not doing enough to win, while UVA has lost two in a row. We need to keep running it as UVA struggles vs the run. If we do that I think we win by two scores.
Duke 13 - UVA 12
Two fourth quarter TD's from Renfree give us a huge win vs Virginia and gives us a chance to go bowling with one more win.
Renfree was bad for 3 quarters but nearly flawless in the 4th. He only had 160 yards with 2 TD - 2 INT, but his 2 TD came in the final quarter of play when we needed them most. Our run game was destroyed by a fired up UVA front 7, holding us to just 75 total yards, but when we needed the yards we got them.
The other big story was our D holding UVA to just 4 FG. Oglesby had 10 tackles (3 TFL) and a sack, while Oghobaase was a machine with 8 more tackles (1 TFL) and Thornton had 7 tackles himself.
We're now 5-3 with a tough stretch of games upcoming but all we need is just one win and we should be bowling somewhere.

Week 10: Duke (5-3) @ #15 North Carolin (5-3)
Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - NC (B)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - NC (A)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - NC (B+)
Analysis: This won't be pretty. NC has a balanced offense that has done some damage to good teams, and their D is top 25 in every major defensive category. We just have to grin and bear it today.
NC 24 - Duke 20
Oof, our string of close losses continues as we give up a 4th quarter TD to NC to give them the lead and our offense just couldn't get it done. We held the lead the entire game, scoring 20 first half point, but NC's defense adjusted and shut us down totally in the second half.
Renfree had 215 yards with a TD and 2 INT. He wasn't very good but he did what he could vs a stingy defense. Boyette ran 18 times for 38 yards but did score both TD's, one through the air.
Our D battled but it wasn't enough. Okpokowuruk was our best player with 5 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack.
We played hard vs our rival but we come up short.

OFFENSE: Duke (C) - GT (B)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - GT (B+)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - GT (B+)
Analysis: GT has struggled but they can play. They're #1 in rush offense and #5 in turnover differential. Our D's strength is stuffing the run but we don't cause turnovers and we ourselves turn it over often. We're playing better but this won't be our elusive 6th win.
GT 52 - Duke 0
Yeesh. Renfree was 5-26 for 35 yards and 2 INT which sums up our offense on the day totally. Boyette had 51 yards on 16 carries, but it didn't matter as this was over by the end of the first quarter.
Damian Thornton lead our D with 10 tackles (2 TFL) but that was about it. Just a horrible, ugly, embarrassing performance.

Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - Miami (B+)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - Miami (B+)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - Miami (B+)
Analysis: Much like in real life, Miami is loaded with talent but can't seem to do much with it. Their offense is ranked in 74th or lower in every major category but their total D is 12th in the Nation. I think we can play with them but I don't see much for us offensively to think we can win.
Miami 37 - Duke 23
Renfree had 280 yards and a 72 yard TD pass, but Jacory Harris had 321 yards and 4 TD for the Canes who rolled us over, despite a close score. Boyette had 69 yards but was nothing special, and that was about it for our offense.
On defense Oghobaase was great with 10 tackles (2 TFL) and the freshman John Drew had his best game ever with 7 tackles (4 TFL) and 2 sacks.
That said, we go into a rivalry game vs Wake next week with a potential bowl birth on the line. Talk about a big one.

OFFENSE: Duke (C) - WF (B-)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - WF (B)
OVERLAL: Duke (C) - WF (B)
Analysis: It's hard to say how a rivalry game will shake out. WF is the better team but it's not as night and day as it was vs Miami and Georgia Tech our last two games. At home, on Senior Day, I think we pull it out.
Duke 24 - Wake Forest 20
It took a 10 point fourth quarter, but lead on the back of Renfree who had his best game of his career, we dispatch of Wake 24-20 and now wait to see if just maybe we make a bowl game.
Renfree wasn't flashy, just good, going 16/21 for 145 yards with 3 TD and 1 INT. He moved the chains when they needed moving, and Boyette added 98 yards on the ground to give us the tough yards when we needed them.
On D Oghobaase's last game as a Blue Devil was sensational, with 7 tackles (3 TFL), a sack and a FF. Vincent Rey also had 8 tackles (3 TFL) and a sack for us.
Now with the season complete we sit back and see what the future holds.

Emerald Bowl: Duke (6-6) vs Arizona State (7-5)
Preview
OFFENSE: Duke (C) - ASU (B)
DEFENSE: Duke (C+) - ASU (B+)
OVERALL: Duke (C) - ASU (B)
Analysis: ASU is a good team who's deal makes plays, but they're beatable. We haven't done much with the ball in our ends but our D has played well outside of a few big games against us. I think ASU wins but I don't think it's a blowout.
ASU 24- Duke 16
ASU thrives on a 21 point fourth quarter, including the game winning TD with 4 seconds left, from 23 yards out, to give us a gut wrenching loss at the Emerald Bowl.
Thaddeus Lewis, playing his final game after being 100% finally, was 20/36 for 142 yards with a TD. Not a bad effort to end on but not good enough. Boyette had 88 yards on 27 carries to end his career, which again, was okay but not good enough.
On D Vincent Rey was a monster with 11 tackles (3 TFL) and a sack, while Oghobaase's final game saw him have 5 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack. The D played hard but was worn down as ASU had the ball nearly 40 minutes.
A tough way to end but the building blocks are slowly being put in place.

Duke 31 - Ball State 24
It was a wild game to open the 2010 campaign, but the Blue Devils prevail thanks to a TD pass from Renfree to Varner from 3 yards out with 2:13 left in the game.
Renfree himself had a very up and down day, competing 21 of 41 attempts for 191 yards with 4 TD and 4 INT. The highs were high but the lows were low, as has been his MO in the games he has started for us.
Desmond Scott added 59 yards on 23 carries but was nothing but average for the most part.
Varner and Huffman each had 2 TD grabs apiece which made Renfree's day easier to handle. Both these guys can play, with Huffman proving to be one of the more productive TE's in the ACC.
On defense the MVP was Oglesby who had 7 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack, while Kromah added 9 tackles with a TFL.
The only bad news was Rs SR CB Chris Rwabukamba will be lost for 8 weeks with a forearm fracture.

Renfree once again was up and down, going 14 for 34 for 135 yards with 2 TD and 2 INT but the defense picked him up holding Virginia to just 285 yards of total offense.
Both Varner and Williams had TD grabs, and Huffman added 5 grabs for 47 yards to keep the chains moving.
On defense, Gamble had 10 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack, while Egboh had 7 tackles (4 TFL), 2 sacks and Byas and Greene both picked off passes.
We lose LT Chris Shannon got 5 weeks with a Dislocated Elbow, which is another big blow to our depth but we just have to persevere.

Renfree continues to be up and down, though a lot more up today, as he was 13/26 for 130 yards with 2 TD, both of which went to Varner.
Hollingsworth, put in to start as Scott has not produced, had just 59 yards on 26 carries, once again showing our offense has a lot of work to do.
Varner was great with 4 grabs for 72 yards and 2 TD. He has proven to be Renfree's best option in the pass game.
On D, Kromah, Egboh and Byas all had sacks, while Gamble had a 42 yard INT return for a TD. So far through the first 3 games our D has proven to be very solid despite the loss of some great players last year.

Renfree once again didn't pile up huge stats, but he was 12/21 for 122 yards with 2 TD - 1 INT, and once again, Varner was recipient of one of his tosses.
Hollingsworth was solid today with 105 yards on 25 carries, giving us our first 100 yard rusher in a long time considering how badly we ran the ball last season.
Varner had 4 grabs for 45 yards and a score.
Egboh had 9 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack while our true frosh SS McIntyre had 8 tackles (1 TFL). Our D did played great but our offense has to pick it up or else it'll be a long season once we hit the meat of our ACC schedule.

Our Defense continues to play outstanding, and despite 99 yards in the air from Renfree, he does throw a TD pass and doesn't turn it over, managing the game well enough for us to win.
Hollingsworth was the story today with 40 carries for 138 yards and a TD reception. He did everything he could to keep us in the game and we won because of it. Meanwhile Varner had 3 grabs for 58 yards but no scores for the first time all season. The kid can play though.
On D, Kromah had 8 tackles (3 TFL) and a sack, while John Drew, the anchor of our DL, had 5 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack himself.
We managed to clear the first 5 games unscathed but expect a drop to reality next week vs an absurdly good Miami team.

Renfree was held to just 104 yards on 13/21 passing with an INT, which obviously was okay vs bad teams but vs a talented team like Miami it just does not fly.
Hollingsworth was bottled up to 46 yards on 24 carries, ending his run of good play. Again, not a shock considering we had no pass game to fall back on and they filled the box.
Varner was held to just 4 grabs for 32 yards.
On D, DT John Drew was a stud, with 8 tackles (4 TFL) and 2 sacks, but outside of him we couldn't get to the QB and were just manhandled at the line.
This is a back to the drawing board day.

Hollingsworth was actually quite electric today with 11 carries for 110 yards, though 77 of those yards were on a TD run, but we couldn't afford to run anyway seeing as how it was 28-7 at the half.
Varner was solid again with 3 grabs for 78 yards but we have to find a way to get him the ball more then 3 times a game.
On D, Gamble had 12 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack. Oglesby had 8 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack and John Drew had 6 tackles with 1 TFL.

Still not close to ready to play vs the big boys.
Here is a sick stat: Renfree was 3 for 22. Yes .. THREE COMPLETIONS! Thankfully he had no INT or else this could've been even worse.
Hollingsworth managed 51 yards on 20 carries, but with Renfree unable to throw even a little bit we were pretty much F'd.
Of the 3 completed passes, Varner had 2 for 27. Go figure, right?
On Defense Gamble had 9 tackles (3 TFL) and a sack, Drew had 6 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack and Thornton had 5 tackles (1 TFL) and an INT.

Varner was a big threat again with 3 grabs for 56 yards, helping setting up Hollingsworth's huge day.
Our D managed 6 sacks, with 2 from Thornton, and one each from Oglesby, Drew, Gamble and Foxx. Oglesby had 9 tackles and 2 TFL as well, and Thornton also had 8 tackles and 5 TFL.

If you can beat Carolina, the season will have been a success.
It would appear that you have a number of positions that will be vacant -- C, OLB, DE and your kickers -- with no one to step in next season. You've got your work cut out for you.

Duke shocks world, finishes with 14th best recruit class!
It was a sight to behold as Signing Day came and went on Wednesday, as the Duke Blue Devils shocked the entire world by signing 4 five star players in the final moments. These 4 kids had held off their recruitment for various reasons until their senior football seasons were over, and all 4 wanted early PT and a great academic school, of which Duke fit the mold. Here is Duke's class:
5* MLB John Smith
5* DE CJ Daniels
5* WR Quinton Jones
5* FS Steve Brooks
3* DE Corey Jones
3* OLB Chaz Morse
3* TE Nick Dixon
3* SS Brandon Mansfield
3* DT Josh White
3* DE Brandon Patterson
3* OLB Brandon Cox
2* FS Tyrone Butler
2* OT Derek Reese
2* DE William Butler
2* DE Paul Holland
2* SS Sam Jones
2* ATH Jeremy Rodgers
2* DT Wade McConnell
2* OLB Tyler Griffin
2* DT Clifton Heath
2* ATH Cory Cox
2* K DeMarcus Hudson
A note: I got those 5 stars but them having High to Most in my two A+ areas for them, Academics and Playing Time. Plus two were A+ Close to Home. It was a perfect storm that's for sure. But anyway I went D heavy and fixed so many holes it's amazing. I need to sure up the O, especially at RB next year, but this is an amazing class.

I should rent NCAA10, but I haven't played any game in the series since they started in-season recruiting. I was kinda overwhelmed by it, I thought it was not exactly intuitive.
Anyway, you're doing a nice job in reviving my interest. Great dynasty!
Thanks Duff. NCAA 10 is fun and worth a rental to try it out. In season recruiting is overwhelming at first but once you get used to it it is rather easy.

Congrats on the recruiting haul. Looks like you might have a shot yet at closing the gap on the big boys in the ACC.
Notre Dame as champs = total fail for NCAA 2010. Iowa being 10-0 at one point is an epic fail as well, but to see their dreams dashed late was acceptable.

That recruiting class bought you one more season. But the alumni are losing patience.
You used the classic TCY recruiting tactic for Duke -- swarm the talent with high academic interest. I have always wondered why this doesn't seem to work at all in real life.

Thanks on the grats. It was huge for us. We need some more of this though, and just a flash in the pan.
And yes ND as champs sickened me. No one seemed to want it and they didn't play anyone at all. Their toughest test was vs an 8-5 USC team.

OFFENSE: Duke (B-) - WKU (C-)
DEFENSE: Duke (B-) - WKU (D)
OVERALL: Duke (B-) - WKU (D+)
Duke 38- Western Kentucky 18
It's not quite a laugher but it was never in doubt, as we play tough and handle our business with relative ease.
Renfree was 18/34 for 334 yards with a TD. Those are good, not great numbers all things considered.
Hollingsworth ran 35 times for 116 yards and a score.
Varner caught 6 balls for 114 yards and a TD. Williams added 6 grabs for 84 yards.
Freshman Chaz Morse had 4 tackles, 2 TFL, a sack and 2 INT in his debut. Stud MLB John Smith was held to 2 tackles before missing the rest of the game with a minor injury but hes all healed now. His backup Banks though hd 3 sacks.
Basically our D just beat up on WKU keeping the game out of reach and we rolled.

OFFENSE: Duke (B-) - VT (A-)

VT 37 - Duke 14
Renfree was 11/26 for 236 yards with 2 TD and an INT but against a swarming VT D he was under duress all night and never was allowed to get into a rhythm.
Williams had 5 grabs for 110 yards and a score, while Varner had 4 grabs for 106 yards. Also scoring was Trezvant.
John Smith lead us with 10 stackles, and Daniels also added 10 tackles and a pick, but outside of one sack from Foxx we hardly had any pressure on the QB and it cost us dearly.

Renfree goes 15/26 for 220 yards with no TD and no INT but it did not matter as he kept getting the ball inside the 20 and the run game did the rest.
With Hollingsworth going out with an injury, Desmond Scott ran 33 times for 95 yards and 3 TD, and Kurunwune added a TD himself.
Williams also had 7 grabs for 102 yards and Varner added 3 for 62.
On D Freshman CJ Daniels had 6 tackles (4 TFL) and 2 sacks, while we had 3 picks including a pick six from true frosh FS Brooks that covered 81 yards.

We didn't do much to score, but Nick Maggio goes 6/6 in FG's and we pull off a huge road win 32-29 over UVA.
Once again Renfree throws for over 200 yards but with no TD or no INT but he did run one in. Hollingsworth would also score once on 27 carries for 78 yards.
Varner was solid as usual with 4 grabs for 79 yards.
Meanwhile we had 7 sacks as a team, with 3 from Foxx, 2 from Cox and one each from Morse and Drew. Morse also added another INT and ditto for Daniels.
A huge ACC win on the road.

- Florida is still ahead of USC for Schoonover and both teams are way out in front of the field. That said a few offers could change that.
- Penn State continues to work on Tasan though Oklahoma is quietly making a push. That said this is PSU's to lose.
- It's now Texas, Auburn, Aabama and Notre Dame in that order for MLB Dayne Ho.
- Meanwhile it's still the same top 4 for Bug Kappe, with Boise narrowly ahead of Texas.
- Va Tech has made huge gains in picking up a commitment from Deacon Palmer and it now seems they are quite favorably in the lead.
- Finally gaining an offer, Dat King's top 3 is Penn State, Va Tech and Duke. It'll still be a miracle if Duke can secure his commitment but stranger things have happened.
- OSU is slowly distancing themselves from the pack with Rob Nielsen but an offer from Alabama could change that.
- USC is getting closer and closer to a commanding lead for Jace Hunter, though Florida and Oklahoma still can make a move.
- It's PSU over OSU by a nose for Nicolas Fillion but Tennessee and USC are both in good position should they offer.
- It's OSU, ND, USC and VT for Sam Jolley. At this point an offer from LSU could shake up the top 4 but it's unlikely.

- It's Florida and USC tied now for Dan Schoonover, with those two well ahead of the rest. It's doubtful even a schollie offer now elsewhere could sway him from those two schools.
- Dave Tasan is still favoring PSU over OU, Auburn and Boise, though OU is making a little surge, and with a week 6 visit to Norman upcoming they could get into this after all.
- Still the same top 4 for Dayne Ho, with Texas having a slight lead over Auburn but he isn't near a decision yet.
- Bug Kappe's list remains the same, though Texas and Boise both have increased their leads over LSU and Florida slightly.
- It's heating up for Deacon Palmer, as it's a 3 dog race with Va. Tech narrowly ahead of ND and Oklahoma, who has quietly surged. He has visits to OU week 6, ND week 7 and VT week 10.
- Duke is now up front for Dat King, but every team in his top 10 has the same interest levels. Should one of the others offer there is a great chance Duke is knocked back down.
- OSU is picking up steam with Rob Nielsen, who still has no other offers, but he does have a week 11 visit to Bama set up and a week 9 visit to USC as well.
- USC is also well ahead of the pack for Jace Hunter though Florida and OU are yet to offer. A week 6 visit to OU could garner that offer though and make this an interesting recruitment still.
- It's Penn State by a nose for Nicolas Fillion over Ohio State but neither are that far ahead. Tennessee and USC have visits set up so if they offered do not count them out.
- It's now USC and Ohio State for Sam Holley, with Notre Dame and Va Tech in 3rd and 4th. USC and OSU are basically tied, though he has visits to all four schools set up. This one is going to be a war.

OFFENSE: Duke (B-) - MIA (A)
DEFENSE: Duke (B-) - MIA (A+)
OVERALL: Duke (B-) - MIA (A+)
Miami 42 - Duke 31
This one sucked as Miami scored 21 fourth quarter points to take the game and ruin an upset bid.
Renfree was very good for us going 14/27 for 220 yards and 2 TD with no INT yet again. He also ran for 38 yards and a score as Desmond Scott was held to 78 yards on 30 carries.
Varner was great with 7 grabs for 101 yards with 2 TD.
Morse had 8 tackles (TFL), Foxx had 7 tackles (2 TFL), sack and Cox added 9 solo tackles.

- Florida is closing inon Dan Schoonover but USC is right there. USC has a week 9 visit while UF has a week 13 visit on tap. Duke sits in 10th as the only other offering school but that train looks to have left the yard.
- Penn State is almost done locking up Dave Tasan but the visit to OU was great and they barely trail. The week 13 visit to PSU could decide who wins out on the TE.
- Texas has made a move and separated itself from the pack with MLB Dayne Ho. Still with visits to take it's not totally out of question he ends up elsewhere.
- Boise State and Texas are now easily out in front of LSU and Florida for Bug Kappe. Boise has a slight advantage, and a week 12 visit, but he will be at UT week 11.
- OU is right behind VT for Deacon Palmer, after a great visit, but VT has a week 10 visit on the horizon with Palmer and that could end this recruitment.
- Duke has a slight edge on the field for Dat King but as usual, until other offers roll in this one is not even close.
- It's still OSU for Rob Nielsen but we'll see what shakes out after the week 9 visit to USC, as should they offer, it could change this race.
- Jace Hunter is still looking like a USC lock as OU never offered after his visit.
- It's now looking like it'll be PSU or OSU for Nicolas Fillion who's interest in both schools flourished after last week. He'll be at OSU week 9 and PSU week 13.
- OSU is back out in front of USC and Notre Dame for Sam Jolley. Jolley has a visit with ND week 7, USC week 9, VT week 10 and OSU week 13. This one is too close too call.

Finally we beat these bastards. Renfree only threw for 161 yards with a pick, but Kurunwune, filling in for Desmond Scott who was banged up, ran 36 times for 161 yards and a TD. Also scoring on rushes was Renfree and Green.
Meanwhile CJ Daniels had 7 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack. Butler and McIntyre also had sacks, and Gamble had a pick six. Just a huge effort from the defense and a great all around effort from our RB's and OL and we pull this one out.

- Texas increases their lead for Dayne Ho.
- Boise increases their lead over Texas for Bug Kappe. Should be interesting to see how this one plays out.
- It's now a 3 way tie with VT, Oklahoma and Notre Dame for Deacon Palmer. Palmer has visited OU and ND but has a visit to VT in week 10 that could clinch it for the Hokies.
- Duke still leads for Dat King, continuing to slowly build a lead for him but any other team in the Nation could have him at this point.

Renfree was solid on the road today going 16/28 for 197 yards with 2 TD and no INT. He isn't flashy with his arm but he makes plays and doesn't turn it over and that's a big reason why we win.
Kurunwune runs 14 times for 55 yards and 2 TD, while Green adds 13 carries for 30 yards and a TD.
Meanwhile Varner continues to play exceptionally well as he catches 6 balls for 75 yards and 2 TD. He is a consistent weapon and one I am going to miss big time next year.
CJ Daniels had 10 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack. John Smith had 9 tackles and a TFL. Foxx had 6 tackles (4 TFL) and 2 sacks, and Morse added 5 solo tackles. I love the production the kids are giving us, though Foxx is obviously not a kid but he is only a Sophmore.

Kurunwune had 30 carries for 105 yards and a score, and Hollingsworth in some PT back from injury also scored for us. Hollingsworth also caught a TD ball.

Nope. I made every created guy an 84 OV. The problem is more recruiting logic as it's not uncommon for 5* FS and SS to go offerless until the end of the year and then teams will usually swoop in for them.

- USC is back on top for Dan Schoonover after his visit to LA. Florida is right there, basically tied, with a week 13 visit to try and win him for good.
- It's OU on top for Dave Tasan, with PSU a shade behind, and hard charging Boise and Auburn not far behind.
- It's still Texas for Dayne Ho though a lot can change with his recruitment as we have seen so far.
- Texas has the lead for Bug Kappe with a week 11 visit upcoming, but Boise is not far behind and will get a shot at him week 12.
- It's no change for Deacon Palmer. Full interest in 3 schools with only a visit to VT this week left for him.

This game goes to show as good as we might be at times, we can be nearly as bad. We barely escape being upset by Army as Renfree throws 3 TD passes with 2 INT and 200 yards on the button in the winning effort.
Hollingsworth would add 107 yards on 30 carries and backup QB Sean Schroder added a rushing TD.
It was Trezant at WR today doing all the damage with 5 grabs for 74 yards and 3 TD while Varner was held to just 2 grabs for 25 yards.
On D, Foxx had 2 more sacks, and Byas picked off 2 passes while McIntyre added a pick himself.

I am floored. We beat those bastards! I was gonna' play this one but I figured I'd sim these rivalry games until I beat them on sim. Not sure why, just seems right.
I wish I could be ecstatic but NC was without their QB, RB, LT and MLB, but it was still a war.
Renfree only threw for 125 yards but had 2 TD and 0 INT. He once again was just solid, nothing more, nothing less, but it worked.
Hollingsworth would grind out 120 yards on 33 attempts with a TD. His longest rush was only 10 yards but damn if he didn't run hard.
Varnder would grab 6 catches for 75 yards and a TD, while Trezvant only had 2 grabs for 11 yards but he did score.
John Smith led our D with 10 tackles (2 TFL), while Brooks had 8 tackles (4 TFL) and a sack. We didn't cause any turnovers and had just one sack but we didn't break at all. Just amazing.

OFFENSE: Duke (B-) - Tennessee (B)
DEFENSE: Duke (B-) - Tennessee (A)
OVERALL: Duke (B-) - Tennessee (A-)
Tennessee 35 - Duke 21
Renfree was 13/18 going into the 4th with us down just 7 but he ends up injured and Sean Schroder throws two INT in the 4th to give Tennessee the 35-21 win. Renfree was great until his injury. A shame it had to end like that. Thankfully he is back next year.
Hollingsworth would run 32 times for 118 yards and a score, while before getting hurt Renfree would also run one in.
Freshman TE Dixon would catch a TD pass from Renfree early, and Hollingsworth out of the backfield had 5 grabs for 97 yards.
On D Morse had 8 tackles but we didn't have any sacks and just one INT from Daniels which won't cut it.
Oh well, a 9 win season was amazing and we finished #21 in the final polls. Hard to argue that.

So Joe Ross was an added recruit in the post season, and came in as the #1 player in the Nation. He looked too good to be true so I offered him no red shirt, early PT and a winning record vs our rivals. Well he is an 89 OV off the get go and is going to end up most likely as our starter, at least vs bad teams. This kid is simply amazing.

FOFC Player Updates
- QB Dan Schoonvoer is listed #3 on Florida's depth chart, behind two Seniors. I am not sure if he will red shirt or not but it looks like clear sailing to the starters job next season.
- TE Dave Tasan has already locked up the starting TE job for the Sooners. Rs Jr QB Drew Allen (92) should look his way plenty in the Sooners TE friendly offense.
- MLB Dayne Ho currently sits 4th on the Texas depth chart, behind Rs So Robby Smith (88), Rs Jr Pat Nkwopara (88), and Rs Fr Marcus Wilson (87). Ho, like all our freshman, are 84 OV's so he has some work to do, but Nkwopara is actually a LOLB who could play the middle, so really there is only two guys to jump.
- WR Bug Kappe is going to be 3rd string for Boise to start, behind a Rs Jr Geraldo Hiwat (85) and Rs Sr Chris Potter (94). Boise's Sr QB Joe Southwick (83) will have a lot of weapons in their run n' gun offense. Kappe is also their #2 KR and PR.
- WR Deacon Palmer is currently 5th on the VT depth chart behind a senior and 3 juniors. He would benefit from a RS but he might not get it. The WR position for VT is loaded with a 95, 93, 90 and 85 overall. They are Sr, Jr, Jr, Jr in that order so by his Junior year Palmer will most assuredly be the man.
- SS Dat King is currently #2 on the PSU depth chart behind Rs Jr Gerald Hodges (95). He also backs up at FS behind a senior so King might end up starting at FS next year before being a full time SS in 2013. Either way it's doubtful he red shirts this year.
- Sticking with PSU, electric RB Nicolas Fillion is currently 4th on PSU's depth chart and is likely a red shirt candidate. Ahead of him is Rs Jr Curtis Dukes (92), Rs So Jordan Pettit (88) and Rs Sr Erik Peterson (85). Expect Fillion to be the full time #1 by 2013. A red shirt would be perfect for him given the situation at RB for PSU right now.
- At OSU Rob Nielsen is currently the #2 QB behind Rs Jr Kenny Guiton (85). Nielsen will see some PT this year, though Jr Jonathan Burnett (84) is on his heels. Still with a good year of development it is quite possible Nielsen ends up starting next year.
- Sticking with OSU, MLB Sam Jolley is 3rd on the depth chart behind Rs Jr Storm Klein (93) ad So Eddie Cox (86). Jolley would benefit from a RS so he can come in next year and compete for a starting job but for him to start it'll most likely be in 2013.
- Finally, at USC Jace Hunter is all but assured the #1 MLB job. In fact the three guys behind him are not even MLB, but instead a ROLB and two FS. Hunter is going to be able to make a lot of plays on a loaded USC D.

OFFENSE: Duke (B-) - FIU (C)

OVERALL: Duke (B) - FIU (C+)
Duke 37 - FIU 24
True Frosh Joe Ross started at QB today and played very inconsistent, going 13/34 for 265 yards with a TD and 2 INT. With a road trip to Stanford next week, he'll give way to Sean Renfree, but for his first start this wasn't totally bad as we did win.
Desmond Scott would add 78 yards on the ground on 18 carries, as we unveiled a new spread offense, focusing more on the throw but not to an extreme amount.
Vernon had a career day with 6 grabs for 183 yards and a TD, while Watkins also added 4 grabs for 70 yards.
On D, Chaz Morse had 15 tackles (1 TFL) and an INT. Austin Gamble added 12 tackles (3 TFL) and a sack. Drew and Daniels would also notch sacks and that was enough to get it done.

- Penn State thumps Ohio 33-7. HB Nicolas Fillion does not see the field but SS Dat King does, deflecting a pass in his debut.
- Ohio State beats Miami of Ohio 28-13. QB Rob Nielsen plays the fourth quarter, struggling as he completes only 4 of 12 passes for 35 yards. MLB Sam Jolley does not play.
- Boise State destroys Bowling Green 34-6. WR Bug Kappe has 1 catch for 22 yards in his collegiate debut.
Recruit Updates
- DT Nick Scott scores offers from Florida, LSU, Auburn and Georgia, but none of them go ahead of the others. It's all very even early on.
- WR Ian Tasan has offers now from Texas and Notre Dame. Those two are slightly ahead of FSU and Michigan amongst others.
- QB Chez Opeake gets an offer from Duke, putting him outside his top 4 which now consists of Texas, LSU, Maryland and Wisconsin. Duke is the only school to offer.
- WR Chris Prewitt gets an offer from Illinois, putting them out to a decent lead over Notre Dame amongst others.
- WR Real Diehl gets an offer form Florida, but Tennessee is still #1 for him, just barely.
- HB Dan Ertmann gets an offer to Oklahoma, putting them in front of Notre Dame. Right now it's really just those two schools though anything could happen there.

OFFENSE: Duke (B-) - STAN (B+)
DEFENSE: Duke (B+) - STAN (B)
OVERALL: Duke (B) - STAN (B)
Duke 35 - Stanford 14
Renfree shows the young QB Joe Ross how to get it done on the road, as we paste Stanford 35-14. A lot can be attributed to Desmond Scott who had a big day, but Renfree was solid going 23/44 for 384 yards and 2 TD - 2 INT. He will take the next one off vs Memphis before we let him go start ACC play.
Desmond Scott was a monster with 24 carries for 175 yards and 2 TD, including an 88 yard run. His day didn't end there either as he caught 4 balls for 103 yards.
Meanwhile Vernon was a machine with 13 catches for 245 yards and a TD. He could rewrite Duke record books at this pace, though obviously it is early. Rs Fr Jones scored his first career TD also.
On D, White and Drew get sacks, and Gamble and Daniels each have 7 tackles. Also our FS Brooks adds a pick six and this one wasn't even as close as the score suggests.

- Boise State blanks FCS Northwest 38-0. Bug Kappe had a nice day with 5 grabs for 68 yards while also returning 1 kickoff for 27 yards and 8 punts for 59 yards.
- Oklahoma survives a scare from North Texas, just eeking out a 14-10 win. TE Dave Tasan had 6 grabs for 37 yards in his debut for the Sooners.
- Virginia Tech stomps ECU 52-27. WR Deacon Palmer played but dropped the only pass thrown his way.
- Ohio State puts up 50 vs Bowling Green as they beat them 50-17. Ohio State was lead by Rob Nielsen, who is now replacing an injured Kenny Guiton. Guiton will miss 7 weeks with a torn abdomen. Nielsen shaky at times, going 11 for 29 for 141 yards, but he did throw 3 TD with 0 INT. Meanwhile Sam Jolley made his debut with 3 solo tackles.
Recruit Updates
- Florida and LSU distance themselves somewhat from Georgia and Auburn for Nick Scott, but don't look now, as Duke has quietly moved into 7th.
- No changes for Ian Tasan besides Texas getting a little more cushion over Notre Dame, though not too much.
- Maryland moves to #1 for Chez Opeake, but just barely ahead of Texas and Duke. Should LSU or Wisconsin offer though this list could change yet again.
- Still just Illinois for Chris Prewitt. They have seen their lead grow a bit larger over the field after this week.
- Alabama is the new leader for Real Diehl after they offered the 6'6" WR. Next is Florida, then Tennessee,, then the rest of the field.
- Dan Ertmann still favors Oklahoma and Notre Dame though only OU has offered at this point.

OFFENSE: Duke (B-) - Memphis (C)
DEFENSE: Duke (B+) - Memphis (C+)
OVERALL: Duke (B) - Mephis (C)
Duke 23 - Memphis 7
Joe Ross may have not been his most accurate but wow, he was good. He competes 24 of 52 passes for 386 yards with 2 TD and 0 INT and we beat Memphis 23-7.
Scott would run 17 times for 62 yards. Good, not great, but it allowed us the threat of the run and we just picked them apart.
Vernon continues to be amazing with 11 grabs for 126 yards and 2 TD, while Watkins would add 5 grabs for 123 yards and Jones added 5 for 79.
On D, Foxx has an INT and a sack, Smith has a sack, Gamble has 9 tackles and Morse has 8, and just basically, our key guys made big plays. Now we head into a home tilt with Virginia before a murderer rows schedule with the top of the ACC on the horizon.

- Boise State improves to 3-0 beating Utah 21-16. Bug Kappe was held without a catch but did have a 16 yard kick return.
Recruit Updates
- Florida and LSU move up to distinguish themselves as the clear 1 and 2 for Nick Scott, though Duke also moves up to 6th. This one should be an interesting recruitment.
- Florida offers Ian Tasan, but they have work to do to catch Texas & Notre Dame. That said they have time as this one doesn't seem like it'll end any time soon.
- Wisconsin offers QB Chez Opeake and now sit 3rd, knocking Duke to 4th, just barely. Still not much separates #1 Maryland and the field.
- Illinois continues to lead for Chris Prewitt. At this point it seems unlikely he goes anywhere but Illinois.
- Alabama has taken a nice lead over Florida for Real Diehl. Still I doubt this one ends any time soon.
- Still just OU for Dan Ertmann though his interest in Florida has moved them up. Also, Duke is now #9 for him as they're the only other team besides the Sooners to offer. This one bears watching.

Nielsen was probably the best recruit I made because I think his potential is astounding. He has 99 throwing power but 75 accuracy. He would've benefited most from a RS but I suspect he'll turn into a machine by his Junior year.

We decide to give Joe Ross the start vs Virginia with a tough slate of games upcoming and wow, he goes 31/51 for 578 yards with 3 TD - 2 INT! He was just a machine out there today and this is with a game plan set on only 60% throw.
Scott only ran for 33 yards but obviously he was not called on much.
We had 3 100 + guys with Watkins collecting 9 for 221 and a TD, Vernon catching 9 for 163 and a TD, and Hall collecting 4 for 108. Kurunwune would also score.
On D, Morse and Sowell collect INT's, Daniels gets a sack and Jones adds 11 tackles.
An all around good effort.

Recruit Updates
- Florida, LSU, Tennessee and Georgia all make significant movement on Scott's list in that order. Auburn also offers and Duke is in 6th trailing by a decent amount. As of now Florida has a decent lead.
- Notre Dame leads for Ian Tasan after a week 4 visit but not by much. Texas is still in a great position here.
- It's Maryland, Texas, Duke, Wisconsin for Opeake. Duke had a good week 4 visit but it didn't make much of a dent.
- Illinois continues to put ground between them and the field for Prewitt. If other teams offer this could become interesting but for now it is not.
- Alabama and Tennessee lead for Real Diehl but Tennessee has not offer. If the Vols do offer I'd suspect they take over #1.
- No changes for Dan Ertmann. OU hasn't taken a big lead so it seems Ertmann might be waiting for an offer from someone else. Illinois has moved to a solid #4 despite no offer.

Renfree got the nod on the road today and just did not play well at all. He was 17/33 for 157 yards with a TD and 2 INT. This is his MO vs good teams and it's disturbing. I think Ross might just take over for good at this point.
Not much to note on offense, but on D John Smith had 10 solo tackles, Drew had 9 tackles, 3 TFL and a sack, and CJ Daniels had 5 tackles, 3 TFL and a sack. We'll just get 'em next time I s'pose.

Recruit Updates
- Florida has really taken a lead for Nick Scott, but Tennessee is right there. Following them is LSU, Georgia and Auburn. As of now though he looks like a Florida lean.
- Notre Dame is back in front for Ian Tasan after a good week 4 visit. Texas is close, and Florida and new offeree Michigan follow. As of now though it's still a two horse race.
- Maryland is now #1 for Chez Opeake, as he has serious interest in the Terps. Texas, Duke and Wisconsin follow that up with it still being very close.
- Illinois still leads easily over the field for Chris Prewitt but an offer from any of the other 9 teams on his list could make it interesting.
- Alabama, Tennessee and Florida for Real Diehl. Nothing has changed here except for those three distancing themselves further from the pack.
- OU continues to push for Dan Ertmann and he will be in Norman this week for a visit. Duke is still 5th as his only other offer, and as of now he will be in Durham week 10.

About damn time! This one we owe to Sean Renfree who was benched but when Joe Ross bruised his hip and left the game, Renfree came in and gave us a huge huge huge win. He finished with 285 yards and a score with no INT and earned back his starting job, at least for the next two weeks.
Vernon was back to his usual self with 8 grabs for 151 yards and Watkins had 6 for 78. Little used FB Joe Guerrero would score his first ever TD on a pass play as well.
On D, John Smith had 12 tackles and a pick. Foxx and Drew had sacks and Sowell had a pick six. Add in 4 FG from Henderson and there is your game. A great all around effort tonight.

Wow. We go into GT and win, and do it with Joe Ross no less! Last week he was injured and said he'd be done two weeks so I never bothered with my depth chart and figured Renfree would start but a Questionable Joe Ross comes in and absolutely shreds the Georgia Tech D to the tune of 327 yards on 19/39 passing wit 5 TD - 2 INT! This kid is for real.
Watkins would be superb with 7 grabs for 126 yards and 3 TD, while Vernon had 4 for 66 and a TD and Rs Fr Quinton Jones had 2 for 55 and a score. Just some great work by the WR.
On D, Joe Smith had 12 tackles (2 TFL). CJ Daniels had 10 tackles (3 TFL) and a sack and Jones had 10 tackles as well.
