Ok, so I dropped my Iphone 3g (just got it 4 weeks ago) this morning in water like an idiot.... of course I turned it on immediately after to see if it worked.. (what most online guides that I've read said NOT to do.. =/) it did stay turn on... however speakers were busted.... could not hear any songs and I could not hear whenever I made a test call. However the data was still working, facebooking and all. Moving forward, about 30 mins later, my screen started going crazy and it shuts off on me while surfing the web.
Now I'm wondering what are my options or what you guys suggest that I should do?
Here are the steps I've taken so far to try and repair it.
- Let it dry for 8 hrs
- Charging it to see if it turns back on
- I opened the phone, to see if there was any residue or corrosion from the water damage.. nada
A few peeps have already suggested that there are websites online that will repair my water damaged iphone for a fee. However, I am very wary to send my phone plus money to these sites I've never heard of before. NorthBay iPhone Repair Specialist .... We Can Repair Your Broken Phone ! ! ! (http://www.northbayiphone.com/) is one...
Feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read.
