I thought that I would bring this up. We all want to acquire new and better players for our hattrick squads. We all have players that we are going to eventually want to sell. Trading is (somewhat) legal in hattrick. Why not advertise what your selling or willing to trade for in this post? I figure that if we start getting enough trades in, we'll eventually drive the GM's mad.

We could also use this thread for other Hattrick Transfer related advice. I noticed after reading through a couple of Hattrick dynasties, owners are posting their available players in their threads. Yet there be MANY hattrick dynasties and not all hattrickers have a dynasty thread.

If you have players to trade or sell, or if you want to buy a certain caliber player. List it here. Perhaps, we can evade the daytraders and the 'Swedish markup.'

If you think this idea sucks. Feel free to tell me that as well.

Reap the benefits of being a FOFC Hattricker!

ok I'll get my noob on...

How do you trade players?

You have to put them on the market for 3 days
any/everyone could bid on em.

Is it something like:

I put Joe Schmoe on the market for a set price (prob high)
and you put Rick Prick on the market at same time for same price?

assuming the price is outragously high for their stats it would be
'like' a trade.

I've seem people talking about trades but I don't know what
they mean.

It's exactly how you describes, except you both have to mail a GM for approval first.

If anyone has a 2.5* or better defender or forward (preferably forward) they are looking to deal, I'm looking.

We have midfielders, midfielders, and more midfielders. Wingers, too.

-Panther,

Yes, trades are somewhat complicated, but not unheard of. Ask DK about the trade that he made last season. What happens is you both need to agree on a trade, then get it approved by a GM.

Typically what happens is that you set a price for each player, out of common bidding range. For instance if you wanted to trade a 28 year old passable midfielder, you could set the price at 300k. You then pay your 300k for his similar player. Since these bids are out of the norm, nobody else will bid on them . . . hopefully.

You do end up having to pay the transfer fee of the player that you sell, but its a good way to get a fair return on your player without spending 2 full days on the transfer wire.

This does not work so well with players that are world class and so on. If this is the case, you would probably have to set the prices at the maximum allowable to keep others from bidding on them.

No there is no way to actually 'trade.' But it can be mimicked with GM approval through the transfer lists.
