Fox adds on-air tweets to `Fringe' reruns - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090904/ap_en_tv/us_tv_twittering_tube)
This is an experiment that must end. The Fox affiliate here in KC last night got a ton of phone calls from people complaining about the Tweets during Fringe. It's not a horrible idea -- actually kind of smart to spice up repeats.
But it was executed horribly. The graphics cover up the bottom third of the screen. It's like VH1 pop-up video on steroids, and that was a fad that flamed out pretty quickly too.
I thought about catching the pilot of Glee tonight and they were doing the Twitter there too. I lasted 30 seconds before I determined it wasn't worth it.
