RIP -- one of the worst ways to go, as far as I am concerned.
I was interested to see which of his movies would get "top" billing in his obit. Looks like "Dirty Dancing" edged out "Ghost." For most guys in our general age range, I bet his playing the straight man to Chris Farley in SNL Chippendale's sketch will be as, if not more, memorable.

I always thought he was a better actor than most, because he liked doing different roles and you got to see him from a lot of different angles.

Totally forgot he was in both of those, which is surprising, since I regard both of those movies as classics.

Makes me want to rent The Outsiders. Been a few years since I read the book (which I first read when I was like 9) or watched the movie or seen the series (which wasn't bad, all things considered).

Plus I respect popular Hollywood types who stay married for the long haul. Met her when he was 18, married until the day he died. Gotta love and respect that.
