The WOOF (http://www.fof-woof.com/home.php) has one opening. Raleigh (http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/woof/ben/teampageroster.php?teamid=19) is available to be taken over immediately. For quite some time now, the World Order Of Football has been near the forefront of innovation in FOF MP, and we're there once again with a couple of things. First off..

MAKING THE SALARY CAP MATTER WITHOUT A BUNCH OF HOUSE RULES
The problem with finances in FOF MP can be boiled down to one simple matter: players do not request enough money relative to the salary cap. As a result, it's too easy to keep a team together, and Free Agency therefore just becomes an exercise in signing the guys that an absentee owner let fly. Well, we've figured out a way to fix that. You don't lower the salary cap or the cap increase range. Salary demands are relative to the cap, so that accomplishes nothing. However, if you assign every team in the league a significant amount of dead cap space, it's a whole new ball game. WOOF passed a measure just this week to do this. Every team will operate at 75% of the cap, and the great part is that you don't have to remember this. One of our tech gurus has created an exclusive utility that takes care of it for us. Come join us for a robust cap management experience.

This is the only part of the first post that matters.

Oh, I guess the looking for a good owner to join part matters also.

Ben E Lou
09-17-2009, 03:42 PM
Not yet, but I suspect that we'll end up dropping the last-year renegotation rule once the stair-step implementation (10%, then 25%) is complete.

stevew

Yeah, having a good team and being close to the cap would be interesting. The "cap out this year, cap out next year, cap out again...errrrr, shit, my cap is fucked armegeddon" would be a welcome change to the MP scene. And kind of a funny disaster waiting to see happen. :)

Ben LeGay? Nice QB name there!
Being that I was in the later portion of Elementary SChool and then Junior High when Ben-Gay advertised on television a ton, you can only imagine how many times I heard "been gay long, Ben???? {giggle}" from various (ok...like every single guy I knew that was around my age is more like it...) peers. It never, ever, ever got old to them. :D

SkyDog himself has said it best:

Come join us for a robust cap management experience.

We are now at the end of the 6th season with the full salary cap reduction. It has definitely increased parity in the league. Every contract that is out there is now under the new rules. In our just completed 2025 season, there were two teams at 12-4, and only five other teams with at least 10 wins. An 8-8 team made the playoffs as a wildcard. The stricter salary cap rules causes teams to have to make hard decisions each offseason. Much more realistic, IMHO.

Yep, we do still have these bells and whistles, and they are constantly tweaked and improved. There is even now a high level scouting page, to see a team's offensive tendencies. We've also done a bit more tweaking on the injury side of things. We were seeing that stadium referendums to improve the turf quality were hardly ever passing. So a decision was made to set all turfs that were 'Poor' or 'Fair' each season to 'Average'. Teams are free to submit requests for higher levels if desired.

But other than this, we also can boast...

Yep, we still have a strong core of active owners. Even on the last couple of sims of the season we had close to 90% export rate. But there will be at least one, maybe more, teams opening up this next offseason. The playoffs start tomorrow, so now is a good time to head over and see what the league has to offer.
