I just read the entire defensive thread and learned alot. I do still have a question that has been confusing me of late. I orient my CB's by WR covered. So after spotting my opponents top route runner I then assign my CB's accordingly to who I want each to cover. In a recent game I put my best CB at the 2nd CB/Right CB slot to cover my opponents highly rated stud WR who happened to have a lower route running bar than the other WR. I now put my 2nd best CB at the Top/Left CB spot to cover the weaker WR with the higher route running bar. I am wondering if this "Top" and "2nd CB" naming still applies to the nickel and dime depth chart screen. Would my Left/Top CB still be covering the #1 WR in nickel and dime or is he now covering the "left" or "right" side of the field according to the way the depth chart names those positions? I just finished a game and tried my best to figure out who covered who in the log and it was too difficult to figure out. I saw some signs that I had it correct then of course some differing information. I put a high emphasis on matchups in my gameplanning and would hate to have the game put the wrong CB on the wrong WR in gameplay. I want to make sure I am doing this correctly. Anyone have a definitive answer on the Left, Right nickel and dime screen issue? Thanks for any help.
