Defensive Personnel and Coverage

I have a question mostly pertaining to goal line personnel, but I suppose it could be applied to any defense. When you are in goal line for example, and you run a 2-deep loose man, you only have 1 safety, so who would be the other deep man? Is this automatically pulling one of your corners deep, or maybe a linebacker, and if so, which one?

This question could also pertain to 3-deep, or 4-deep in base defense or goal line. How do you know which players are put on those deep zone coverages?

I am trying to get a handle on defensive scheming, and knowing what my players' roles are in different situations i think would help me out a lot.

Really? Nobody has any thoughts on this? Or did I stumble on to something people don't want to give away their research on?

I speak for a lot of us who have basically given up the exercise of trying to figure out what each little man is doing on defense. That level of logic just doesn't seem to hold up very well in this game.

..which is not to say that someone will not come along and opine with great detail on the matter. But most people who do so are, in my judgment, speaking more about real football than about this computer game.

while i agree with quicksand at least in teh respect of the real football vs the game. ill postulate on this.

it SHOULD be the Mike but it would depend ont the Offense formation but assuming its goaline the mike is the only "free" player

I have an email somewhere from support where I asked that question (or a similar one), but it would be a LB (which depends on if you are running a 3-4 or 4-3).
