29 penalties for 227 yds in my first 2 games. What's the deal? My team's cohesion is 98 pass, 100 o-line (where most of the penalties are coming from), 97 d-line, & 88 secondary. My coach's discipline rating is VG also

Am I just that lucky?

Through 7 games:
75 penalties for 578 yds

On pace for:
171 penalties for 1318 yds

Real NFL records for both:
158 pens, 1304 yds


Would the fact that my team is so young be the reason for this? Or is the excuse simply small sample size & bad luck?

How long has your coaching staff been together? One of the patches fixed an issue with that. But penalties have long been an enigma.

Just started a new league w/ player generated players (never saw this issue with custom player files, even in the first season).

I haven't patched in forever (just started up again for the first time in over a year), so maybe that's it?

had aquestion along the same lines however my case is that in my previous season my team was in the top 5 (fewest) penalized teams and this year (week 8) im in the top 5 (most) penalized teams this year. and it seems to be lots of holding too, but nothing tells you who the penalty is on you just have to guess

this HC is in his 3rd year with this team and is good with disipline
the team is rather old actually average age was 27~ ish
MP league so it should be up to date
