Ill be taking over Strikeforce but Im really more interested in seeing what happens in the WMMA universe so Ill be trying to stay up to date with the cards and championships as they move around. Hopefully I do a decent job and with the upcoming tumult in my life (baby, career evolution) who knows how long it'll go so read at your own risk.

- UFC announces that they'll expand to a lightweight division. Im not sure how this will make WEC feel.

- Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson joins the High Altitude camp, while Heath Herring joins the Lions Den.

- A wave of deal making and takeovers occur:

A. X-1 is bought by Donald Trump
B. Cage Force is bought by Calvin Ayre
C. Valkyrie is bought by Bob Meyrowitz
D. Jewels is bought by Mark Cuban

- Bobby Southworth announces his upcoming retirement.

- Cage Force announces both an expansion into the Bantamweight and Featherweight classes.

- Jewels will look to add a Women's Middleweight division and hopes to add Tara Larosa and Amanda Buckner.

- The new icons of ownership begin announcing their self proclamations as Presidents of their respective companies.

- Renato 'Babalu' Sobral joins up with Brazilian Top Team as a 'visiting member'.

- Diego 'Nightmare' Sanchez joins up with American Kickboxing Academy

Week 3 December

- We pick up a cheap Daniel Puder and then blow a wad to pick up 'Hendo' Dan Henderson

- Im still waiting on signing some damn announcers before being able to schedule a show.

- UFC sign Aleksander Emilianenko

- UFC also announces that Georges St-Pierre will be taking on Jon Fitch at UFC 105: Fire Mountain in January. It looks like Randy Couture v. Rampage Jackson will be on the card as well. Josh Koscheck will take on Mike Swick. Frank Mir is on the card taking on Shane Carwin and also Thiago Silva will fight Minotauro Nogueira.

- UFC makes overtures towards Alistair Overeem so I in tune have to as well to see if I can get him exclusively.

- Forrest Griffin joins Extreme Couture

- Valkyrie sigm Megumi Fuji

- Dream's show in January has an interesting Main Event in some legends going head to head: 'The Gracie Hunter' Kazushi Sakaruba v Royce Gracie 40 and 42 years old respectively.

- WEC has added a main Event to their January show: WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown (21-4) will take on Raphael Assuncao (14-1)

Week 4 December

WEC adds a couple of matches to their upcoming card:

2. Urijah Faber v Leonard Garcia
3. Waggney Fabiano v Jose Aldo
4. Jens Pulver v Mackens Semerzier

- We finally get our announcer signed, looking for one more but Ill go ahead and get an event in for the end of January now.
3rd week of January on Saturday and so far I have the night to ourselves. No Television so we'll keep it cheap.

The card:

Main Event - Middleweight Championship - (24-4-1) Jake Shields v Joe Riggs (30-10) 'I expect Shields to win thereby setting up a Shields Hendo match later in the year after a Hendo tune up too'
Co-Main Event - Lightweight - (16-2) Gilbert Melendez v Jorge Gurgel (13-6) 'Thinking Melendez should take this'
3. Heavyweight - (6-0) Daniel Puder v Carl Seumanutafa (4-3) 'hoping to build up Puder here'

Ring announcers Barry Tompkins and Bob Sheriden passed away. They had a long history of calling fights.

- I sign up Cub Swanson, an up and comer in the lower ranks that I need to fill out some.
